Segmented sleep, an article.

Interesting! Do you wake in the middle of the night for a couple of hours? Apparently this is more normal and natural than sleeping for a long block of time. So I'll go to bed earlier and not panic so much when I wake way before sunrise. The key is in not getting upset so you can fall back asleep again for your "second shift", lol.

I have a tendency to wake up at 3:00 in the morning. I wake up, look at the clock and say a few expletives, and then pull the sheets over my face and quietly fall back asleep.

I'm glad to know thats kinda normal! hah
