kidney cancer.

Date: November 11, 2012 02:18AM I found out today my 57 year old sister is stage three kidney cancer
On the 20th they will remove the kidney that has a large tumor saying cancer is in the arterys of the kidney so all must go. They dont know at this point yet if it is outside of the kidney. Any useful info I would be greatful for. Re: kidney cancer.

Date: November 11, 2012 03:08PM Bill, so, so sorry about this. Please do make sure that before they do anything, they determine whether the tumor is external--these are easy to excise with minimal surgery. If the entire one must go, provided your sister has good kidney function in the remaining one, she should do OK with only one and monitoring.
