Which would suggest the idea of man being the only animal that needs supplementary sodium among other minerals. I drink a liter of coconut water after my workouts and it makes a difference. I also add small amounts of salt on occasions. Salt (seasalt, himalayan, but not table salt) and electrolites also regulate odd things, like for example, sugar levels, triglycerides, cholesterol, feeling cold, heart related stuff, etc. It is weird how small things that would go low in the radar can make big differences on health.
