DNA is a ball of code inside every cell that makes enzymes, proteins, etc. But with age, the ball hardens up and your cells have a harder time unwrapping the ball and therefore obtaining the code they need to make stuff. Thus weakening you slowly.

The secret to a car lasting a long time is the result of many maintenance tasks from the owner.

And the secret to a body living a long time is the result of many healthy living choices from the owner as well.

It is not one thing. Not either or.
