recumbent bikes

short base ?
Long base?
underseat steering?
overseat steering?

where does one start when looking for a good recumbent?

the above seat steering looks awkward to me ..possibly causing neck and shoulder tension?

my budget is around 1000$ which is what i paid for my traditional bike

any links to some good recumbent sites?

oh and im looking for a streetbike not an indoor hamster wheel winking smiley thanks
