Raw Moms--Your thoughts on Vaccinations
Posted by: jivana_vegan ()

I have a 2 1/2 month infant and now is the time people are telling me to vaccinate him. Have read about the pros and cons of it. Still undecided.
We are a raw family and very healthy.
What do other raw moms think about this issue?
Thanks!

We don't vax. There is a google video called "The Truth about Vaccinations" Its a good video IMO. I believe vaxes are extremely harmful to everyone, just my 2 cents tho

oh well that`s cool. you`d think i`d know being a teacher`s assistant LOL. but the vax stuff isn`t really in my realm as far as the work part goes anyway. i`ve heard of a couple studies linking vax to add and/or adhd. are you homeschooling from k-12? may i ask why? one of my girlfriends is thinking of taking this route with her twin girls who are now 4

My kids are partially vax. I think you should research some more and don't let anyone sway you over to their side. Both sides get a little crazy because they are so sure they are right. You have to do what is right for your family. Some of the diseases are not harmful if kids get them. I would not get some of the new vaxs that have came out in the last few years. My ds got the mumps vax but not my dd because mumps can make men sterile. My dd got the ruebella shot but not my ds.It is a hard choice I wish you luck.

....I'm not fully Raw, but healthy vegetarian almost vegan.......my kids are all vax., our family doctor is a vegetarian, supportive of breastfeeding and co-sleeping....okays kids not being vax., but he recommends vax because the consequences of getting the diseases is much worse {in his opinion} than the vax., and he's seen it. So that convinced me, and we are all healthy. I also grew up overseas and had to have tons of shots every summer when we came back to visit the States: I'm fine so far! {knock on wood}! My older sister didn't have her kids have the chickenpox vax....she allowed them to get the pox and it wasn't so bad...now they are immune for life. Not sure if the chicken pox vaccine expires at some point. But, some folks have had very bad experiences with vax., I've heard that was when Thimerisol was in it, which has mercury. It is my understanding they don't use that anymore. Some Flu shots may have it though, and we don't get the Flu shots. It is such a personal choice...look at all the info. and use what fits for you and your family...Deb

no all they need is a note in school records telling them why you don't vax. Our daughter isn't vaxed... don't plan to vax her.

I see the word vegan in your username; are you aware that vaccinations are not vegan or even vegetarian? I was never vaccinated, and never will be. Healthy bodies can fight off disease on their own.

i 2nd this highly. i think you need to research, research and more research and talk to both pro vax and con vax and then maybe screen the (if any) vaccs you will give your kids. i will not give my daughter that vax for ovarian cancer but my kids got the rest of them

My kids are now 19 years old and they had only one vax at 5 and a half months. I didn't want to vax but decided to 'try' it. They were in obvious discomfort for about a week afterward and I felt justified to completely disregard any further pressure to vaccinate. We had very little problem, though my daughter hated being different than the other kids.

Our dog had two vaccinations well before the ages she was supposed to receive them and before we got her. But thereafter, we used an all-raw diet and nosodes. She still has a bare spot on her shoulder where she was vaccinated and the fur never grew back.

My son was vaccinated and I deeply regret it. He has add symptoms and learning disabilites and has to attend a special school. I will never know if he would have been normal if I hadn't vaccinated him. I will never vaccinate another child.

Have you looked up the ingredients in vaccinations? That should be all the research you need to do. Especially if you are a vegan. In fact, vaccinations are canibalism. There is human material in them.

Dream Earth, you are so lucky.

Blessings to you and your family,

Jen

You can always delay as well, until you have done all your research (I've spewnt 180 + hours!! thats just sp far...) Someone asked about my dc's being homeschooled, yes they will be homeschooled, unschooled, until they wish to enroll themselves. I don't approve of the public education sysdtem, I've seen what they have to offer smiling smiley Plus we'll be travelling constantly all over the continents, and so for those reasons thats what we'll be doing.

Just to poiont out mumps cannot make one sterile before puberty. So there's no rush. Many vaxes are not "necessary" until adulthood. I have yet to see a vax thats proven safe and effective, or either for that matter.

I have 5 children ages 22,20,18,15 & 7 and never vaxed any of them. They have always been healthy, getting over colds and flues much faster than many of their friends and I believe that it's because their immune systems have never been compromised by vaxes. Never had a problem with schools. Just said that I didn't vax for personal reasons.

Little Bug, I'm so sorry to hear about your son. Perhaps, hopefully, there is a chance he can one day heal from any damage caused by the vaccinations.

My whole family isn't all raw, but we've been vegan since my first baby was born and they are the healthiest kids I know. Of course, since vaccines are vegan or even vegetarian for that matter, the kids are un-vaxed. They've never had to take antibiotics, tylenol, cough syrup, *anything*. I attribute it to living a clean lifestyle, where their bodies are allowed to develop and function the way they were intended to.

Plus, I personally know people whose children were killed by vaccines. As in, vaxes were officially found to be the cause.

In choosing not to vax, I choose to accept the risk of natural disease to the risk of disease/damage caused by something the body has no chance to fight.

I guess I still have a lot of research to do.
Peace and Blessings to you all.

My daughter, was a peaceful, happy baby, and rarely cried. When she had her first vaccination, she got a fever of 105 degrees, screeched and cryed. That was her first and last vaccination. I then read "A Shot in the Dark", and I never immunized my children again. I'm convinced that immunizations are a violent assult, to the human body.

Hey Dewey,

There really is no way of knowing if it was the vaccinations or not. I had an rh vaccination when I was still pregnant and another shortly after giving birth which means plenty of mercury in the ol breastmilk. Then again, I still drank fluoridated water back then and I had 14 mercury fillings.

I will say this, my son had pretty bad reactions to the shots and I read somewhere that if immune disorders runs in the family (I had allergies, candida and am sensitive to metal and preservatives) then it may not be wise to vaccinate because the child may have a bad reaction. Hindsight....

Thanks dream earth. He had 2 mercury fillings and one just fell out about a month ago. Yaaaay! And his last vaccination was probably 5 years ago. I'm hopeful. He really is a special indigo child or whatever they are calling the enlightened little geniuses incarnating these days. The special school he goes to is an extraordinary place compared to public school. I think his little soul demanded an alternative learning environment and the universe complied.

peace,

jen

hindsight is always a wonderful tool. wish sometimes it came as forsight LOL. i know it has helped me in alot of situations. the age old adage..."if i only knew then what i know now...." but again, this is part of what life`s all about...learning. i`m so happy you found a great school for him. it`s important that children get as much outside stimuli as they can. the teachers need him as much as he needs them. i can`t tell you how many times i`ve walked into the classroom with baggage from either the night before or the morning and my little 3rd graders smiles and quirkiness pulls it right outta me. they (children) are so awesome

I'm late in on the discussion. I felt nervous about vaccinating my third one. I had already only given my middle one a few of hers. But I read up on it and decided to not ever give any of them any again. I won't say it doesn't make me a little nervous but not nearly as nervous as giving them. After reading all the info I couldn't possibly let that crap be injected into my child's lifeblood. I felt like it was highly likely that it would affect my child in some negative way, whether great or small, far outweighing the possibility of them getting what I was supposed to protecting them from. I am more worried about the decision to vax our oldest child than I am about the decision not to vax our youngest.

My mom was a nurse and had me vaccinated and re-vaccinated at every opportunity when I was a kid. I was such a MESS! I developed a vicious eye infection when I was 8 years old that I believe was related to the vaccines; it almost blinded me and I was given chemotherapy for a few months (testosterone and cortisone) in hopes of saving my optic nerves. It worked, sort of, but with lots of unpleasant side effects, as you can imagine.

Fight vaccinations if you can; they cause neurological and other problems that can be deadly. If your kids have to be vaccinated, find a good spiritual healer to help you and your children thrive.

I am not a totally "raw mum" as I'm new to all this information. But I have always tried to be healthy and reduce food chemicals and processing in my diet.

This is a topic people often feel very strongly about. My children are now 8 and 6. At the time they were due to be vaccinated I didn't question it and just had it done and had no ill effects whatsoever that I have been able to pinpoint anyway.

But I have a friend who did not vaccinate her children and that has not affected them in any adverse way. They are now 9, 6 and a baby and they have not suffered unduly from not being vaccinated.

It is a highly personal decision and one where there's lots of conflicting information so good luck doing your reading and on whatever you decide. I have been critisised for vaccinating my children and my good friend has been critisised for not vaccinating.

You will know what is best for you and yours. All the best!
