Blood work - where do you go?

I don't have a doctor or insurance, but was wondering if anyone had any experience just being able to contact a lab who would draw blood and run it. Re: Blood work - where do you go?

Date: July 15, 2007 03:46AM I've heard that you can go to a lab in a hospital medical facility and let them know that you just want a blood test done. Ask them how much it is before you do it. I went to a doctor and had lab work done and it was over $1K. I didn't expect it to be that much.
I'm not sure about specific vitamins/mineral levels but they can tell you about cholesterol, etc. I've also heard that you can go online and request blood work but I've never done it. I used to have a URL but lost it when my computer hard drive failed and it had to be reformatted. Good luck! Re: Blood work - where do you go?
