I've lately had a strange experience with my beloved organic parsley :

I use lots of parsley in smoothies and also munch on the stems - I love the fat, juicy ones and my bird loves the hard, stringy ones.

Lately when I munch the stems, I've been surprised and disgusted by the taste of cilantro instead of parsley! I see no difference in the appearance of the leaves, but about a third of the stems taste like cilantro.

Cilantro looks different, so I don't understand what is going on. It could be that seeds of a different variety of parsley got mixed with the nice ones.... I don't know.

Anyway, now I have to try each stem before eating it. I wind up composting the cilantro, just too disgusting to eat. Maybe Brome would know why....
