I just heard about this from a friend who has used it. I don't know what I think of it yet. My chi doesn't have great teeth or breath despite 100% simple raw diet since age 8 weeks and regular raw bones, though everything else about her seems very healthy.

I did it last year and don't recommend them or their products. The colon cleanse is so overpriced. The same thing can be made at home for a fraction of the price, with the 3 ingredients that they use, and for around $10-20.

I have a similar thing with parsley - I crave chewing the stems and make about 5-8 cups a day into smoothies. I like the way some rawvegans have promoted using instinct or the senses as a guide to diet. I'm sure there's a reason I crave it so much, (though I didn't start using it until I read how rich in vits and minerals it is).

Back when I tried it, chlorella was the only pond scum I seemed to benefit from. After wasting thousands of dollars on processed 'health supplements' I finally came back to the simple reality that the best nutrition wasn't designed by humans. Cheers.

I don't think gaiayoga is vegan, nor strictly raw. But I think it's open to both.

Yeah it's true that Canada is the best place to be if you're in most minority groups - we are truly and notoriously soft on criminal behaviour, though. I was just being similarly facetious to Lois's initial post. Most developed countries have problems with illegal immigration, and it goes all directions. But as someone here mentioned, Canada is easy to enter. So many people think that if y

What's illegal alienism about Lois? It's so beautiful there, what a great idea! Do you have any links you'd like to post?

Thanks Prism, I started taking some black walnut for iodine because I read that other iodine supplements are not easily tolerated. I would like to try stepping it up a little..... I should look for foods with iodine and also should start taking my waking temp. to see if it's low.

Fruitgirl, do you find that your chi is a little scavenger who would eat nearly anything? Mine is, and it's at the point where I don't like walking her anymore, since she can find and hork down an old pizza crust before I turn around!

Me neither! Right now I am in my kitchen, sitting on 145 degree hotwater radiator, wearing a wool toque and slippers, socks, jeans, long-sleeve tshirt, wool sweater and ... an old down jacket....and I'm warm as long as I stay on the heater, though it burns if I stay more than a few seconds. I've been stricter with my diet, but just as you mentioned, going either up or down with the fats made n

Thanks, Bryan, it sounds great.....but their site doesn't seem to work and neither did any of the other sites I tried from the search. If anyone knows where to buy it, online or in stores, I would love to know.

This isn't my story so it's not completely fair to post it, but it happened long ago and I think this person is incredibly brave, so....(I'll call her Cap). Cap had a baby, then separated from the father, then had a tubal ligation. Six years later she fell in love with 'Phil'. Phil moved in with Cap and child and they planned to marry and have more children, so Cap paid to have her tubes r

I (or the macadamias) broke a $20 nutcracker after the 6th one. Alas, I thought that nutcracker would last forever... I then got a $4 nutcracker, the only one I could find, but it's skinny and doesn't easily grab the nuts. I don't know if I'm strong enough to break the shells with my hands, using this nutcracker. My seasonal treat is taunting me in the fridge! How is it done ?

I would send him a giant mental 'Thank-you' for helping you learn something about yourself. Without his actions you might not have made quite the same development and you've definitely benefited from it. So it goes.... Your honest gratitude will probably reach him on some level, spreading even more good.....

Oh, I just read that you can use some molasses in water to feed them as you water them.... I'll try that, sounds easy and it came from a guy who grows a lot of high-quality herbs. He also uses cayenne powder to discourage pests - puts it in the water I think. I used cayenne in homemade spray outdoors and it worked so well (on roses and flowering bushes) that I only used it a couple times before n

I understand how that can happen. The past year or so I've found myself barely skimming text on my screen and am prone to making snap conclusions or lumping gists with other gists and making a lot of typos, etc. It seems to have a lot to do with the irritation my eyes-brain feel when looking the screen. My concentration while looking at the screen is almost nil after a half-hour or so. I now s

The best fertilizer is the compost (soil) you make at home from yard and kitchen scraps. The time needed to compost varies with what you put in it, the temperature of the compost pile, etc, but needs at least a few months to turn into soil. You can usually buy organic compost in a large bag, but it's often available only 'in season'. You dig some compost into the soil around the plant or l

Hi Angie, how cool that you're composting. This is the best site I know for composting - the principles are the same no matter what you compost. Jenkins, who has been composting for decades and whose books have won awards, is one of my heros. The people on his forum (it's not a lively forum, so I only check in every week or so) are some of the most interesting, intelligent, diverse people and

I actually enjoyed doing a 10 day cleanse right through the Christmas holidays last year and might do it again. I felt pro-active about my health and didn't really feel deprived except for a minute here and there.......till I remembered how bad I felt after eating cooked. I think you'll find renewed strength from cleansing, Pam, so have fun with it all. Btw, there are a few cleanses on the

Would you consider doing some simple cleanses at home? Enema kit, less than $15, organic olive oil and lemons, about $20, epsom salts about $5-10, apple juice, up to $3 a quart, plus some time and filtered water. Sometimes it's not only will-power, it's also the old toxins making things very difficult for us.
