John Rose, I'm not sure if you viewed the video before posting your links. I guess I should specify in this video she is encouraging the people in the U.S. who are affluent, well-educated to have only one child or no children. I noticed you have a link about eugenics, so I don't think that applies here.

IIRC it is because they're too high in either oxalic acid or alkaloids. (Honestly, I made a mental note to avoid it after reading the reasons, but didn't bother remembering the details. Sorry.) How about replacing with collard greens, kale or dandelion greens when juicing?

I think chard and spinach isn't supposed to be juiced.

I don't understand why you don't tell them these scents are bothering you. Is it because they're the landlords and there might be reprocussions? If not, I would definitely speak up. It seems reasonable to me that they could skip fragrance, dryer sheets and other things during their stay.

"Animal rights" has really lost its meaning because people who eat animal products are starting to call themselves animal rights activists. If a person is eating animal products and claiming to be concerned about the welfare of exploited animals, then that is an animal welfare advocate, which is very different. I'm not sure if people realize that even on "humane" farms and

I don't have a mattress recommendation and hope this isn't a digression. I sleep on the floor on top of a couple cushiony blankets. Your body stretches after several days so that it becomes comfortable. (Sleeping on your back is best, of course. Even better for your back if you use a small pillow or towel under your knees and lower back.) I did this so that I wouldn't have to worry about the chem

Of course Ram Daas draws on religion. All ancient religions have much in common. I don't support any organized religion though. Taking a bit from all of them is good. P.S. No offense, but this is why I tend not to participate on forums. There are always people who act like people say things they didn't. (Strawman fallacy.) So many of the discussions become wasteful.

Well, I have no recommendations for any religion, but for spirituality I recommend anything by Ram Daas.

Think of yourself and your son first. Your husband is an adult and is responsible for himself. Don't let unwarranted obligation or guilt make any decisions. Good luck.

@LuckyRawVegan, From my experience, the same people who get argumentative/angry about a person not eating meat are generally the same people who have poor personalities in other aspects too. I think it could be a different topic that is challenging for them, and they would feel the need to dominate and get agressive. Anyway, I read a book once called "Living Among Meat Eaters." It has a

The abortions are done on cats and dogs when they're spayed. If they're pregant, they get abortions. This is very early in the pregnancy and at the same time when they undergo the spaying. Let's be clear, @KidRaw. In humans the fetus doesn't feel pain until 12 weeks. If animals didn't feel pain, then there would be no animal rights movement. You're using the term 'hypocrisy' incorrectly.

@KidRaw, Animal rights activists DO perform abortions on dogs and cats due to the overpopulation crisis. There is no hypocrisy there.

Thanks for all the helpful replies. I decided to go back to my regular vegan diet and transition to replacing the frozen/canned portion of the diet with unprocessed, whole foods (some cooked) once everything goes back to normal.

I mean I had leafy vegetables/fruit in green smoothies and vegetables in juices, but I didn't eat vegetables in salads and I didn't cook them. Also, I ate raw fruit but much, much less of it.

When I went 100% raw for 7 days I eliminated canned/frozen foods that I used to eat, which were typically Amy's non-dairy frozen burritos, or canned vegan chili w/ Daiya cheese or Tofurkey pizzas. (I think that may sound like odd food preferences.) Also I eliminated matcha green tea and raw nuts after 4 days raw. I added salads (which I really didn't eat before) and increased the amount of fruit.

Thanks. I've been a vegan for many years and have had green smothies, green juices, fruits for many years. However, during this time I was still eating cooked foods too and didn't experience digestive problems.

I was 100% raw for 7 days and the only reason I stopped is because it seemed I wasn't digesting the food. It seemed to build up and become more uncomfortable so I ate some cooked food today. (When I would wake up in the morning I could tell I still had undigested food in my stomach, like lettuce - even though I stopped eating in the early evening.) This many have nothing to do with it, but accord

I just use the sproutpeople website for simple instructions (they have great videos) and I get my seeds from there. I prefer their seeds because they sprout very well. When I've tried other sources, it didn't work for me. It's really worth it because buying a small amount of seeds yields so much food. That's why I don't mind splurging a bit to get the seeds I like best.

The book I read also said not to wash for 2 hours after getting sun so that the D will be absorbed. Some chemical sunscreens only protect against UVB but zinc oxide will protect against UVA too. I thought I heard UVC from the sun was blocked from reaching us?

30. Re: B12
Here is a new one I found today. It just says it contains b12 but there's no detail. I think that's the same thing the other sites did. P.S. When I entered 4 grams of matcha into cronometer it showed 2250% of b12 for the day.
