What about vegan (non raw) milk chocolate? I forgot the name, but there's a really delicious brand at the local organic shop. Would it have the same stimulant effect as plain raw nibs, do you think? :-) I'm not being snarky, I really want an honest opinion. Renee *************

Well, maybe I will try the bag. I've never been addicted to anything before, let's say I had coffee every day for a month, one the 31st day I could go without coffee and think nothing of it. Blending into a shake or eating a small snack with fruit as a rare treat sounds nice. **************

I bought some dried goji berries from the local organic store. The taste is nothing to write home about. I guess I should try soaking a bowlful in water for a few hours in the fridge until they plump back up into berries. I was just kinda disappointed because I'd heard so much about the berries and then when I tried them they tasted like styrofoam. :-( So tomorrow I will plump them and see

Well, look at that. Much better price for those of us who aren't sure we'll like cacao nibs. I'm going to order some before May, because that's when I'm going 100% raw. Oh yeah! *****************

Hmm.. It's almost $20 to try the raw nibs. The problem is, what if they're terrible? I don't want to waste $20. That would buy a few yummy kiwis and apples at the organic store in town. :-) Maybe another website has a better deal on nibs and I (we) can try them from there. Renee ******************

I'm going to admit, I'm completely clueless. Are they eaten like a snack straight from the jar? I've had plain baking chocolate powder before and it tasted pretty dog-goned bitter so I'm hesitant to order any. At the same time, I'm really curious about cacao. (What woman wouldn't be? <<LOL>> On this page, choosing from among the nibs, spread, or sauce, which would you buy?

What is your normal breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks? I am trying to get a basic idea of how much this diet (not 'diet' as in losing weight, but 'diet' as in types of foods consumed.) Grazie infinite! Renee **************

I love avocado. Would one a day be a good starting point? I'm not worried about my weight. Are there other fruits and vegetables with healthy fats? I was under the impression that only olives and avocados have fats. Renee ****************

I'm working my way to eating raw because of the health benefits. I'm also atheist so I don't spend much time thinking of spirituality in general. :-) *****************

Rob, I've been planning my transition to 100% raw for a while so I've been working more fresh fruits and veggies into my diet. Last night I had fresh, raw spinach for an after dinner snack instead of fatty or sugary snacks. :-) I've only seen sundried olives on line. Have you ever eaten any? Renee ***************

Anyone got any advice? Even if you think it's completely stupid. I've been working my way to raw by adding fresh fruits and veggies. I'd like to know if I have my bases covered before going completely raw in May. :-) ***************

I've heard that eye color going from brown to blue is actually dangerous. Darn, I just googled and can't find it. I'll post it if I can find it. ***********

I've had a bet with my husband for a while that I could spend the month of May eating raw 100% of the time. If you knew the size of my junk food habit, you'd feel for me. LOL. My 6.5 month old daughter is 100% breastfed with no supplements. She has had a runny nose almost since birth. Since I am her sole source of nutrition, it stands to reason that improving my diet would also improve her h

I was reading another thread in which a few people mentioned improved eyesight after going raw. I wonder if maybe nearsightedness and farsightedness, which are caused by lenses being in the wrong place, are the result of too much fat around the eyeball. Perhaps eating better type of fat puts the eye on a diet as well. :-) Opinions?

Aw, thanks! It always makes me so happy to find another person who understands that healthy newborns don't need surgery to remove normal, healthy, and functional body parts. :-) My 2.5 year old must be a raw foodist, the little monkey is drinking raw human milk right now! LOL ***********

I'm not completely raw yet but today I had a whole orange at lunch, spinach, baby carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli at dinner, and just ate a kiwi. I like fast and simple. :-) ************

Intriguing. Almond pulp? Off to google...ah, what's left after getting almond milk. **Sigh** yet another delicious sounding recipe I can't make because I don't have a juicer, dehydrator, or even a lousy blender. Bleh. ***********

Why are sprouts healthy? From what I understand, plants get their nutrients from the soil. Most instructions for sprouting seeds require only a few water rinses. Where does the nutrtion come from? Thanks, Renee ***

I don't have a juicer or dehydrator. Are there any raw cookbooks in which most of the recipes don't require equipment? Thanks, Renee ***
