I read an EMT training book years back and the chapter on Abulance driving said the siren and speed are only needed in less than 1percent of the runs if you have a compt EMT crew. It also stated siren and speed somtimes is a sign of Emts not trained well, and in a hurry to dump off at hospital. then It went on to how many Abulances are involed in wrecks, not all just the goofs although no shortag
