what about drinking grapefruit juice or eating grapefruit? i'm pretty sure it's great for increasing that, plus when you drink grapefruit juice alone it also actually shrinks the size of your stomach. i think it also helps to stimulate and purify your bile functioning

Does anyone know if these have to to have a lamp or flame on to emit the negative ions, or if they just do it by themselves?

I have a nice little pouch of green cardamom pods. They look uncooked. Has anyone tried grinding them? I'd love to use them up in something nice but have no idea where to start. Any advice/suggestions welcome.

i like how drinking coke or pepsi makes me feel but i don't drink them because of the excess white sugar/corn syrup so much. i think it'd be great if there was like a noncarbonated and/or less sweet version healthier cola drink. i think that's the only thing that i might give coffee up for. i've also tried a nice oatstraw "mineralizing" blend once. that was nice, i felt great. i neve

i agree with the water. Are you drinking enough? I find it helps me to have lots of cold green tea - makes it more inviting.

ever try gingko biloba? it works great at improving the memory and making you feel clearer and sharper. i read somewhere once that it does this by increasing blood flow to the brain. i don't know myself how it actually works, but i do notice a distinct difference in my thought processes when i am on it. much quicker in general. for fatigue, i'd drink chamomile, especially good for stress and nerv

That sounds so awesome! What an opportunity, but still, MEAT going in your mouth?? No way. I wonder if you can bring some rice. I've never tried it raw sprouted, but as a boiled option, a little goes a long way, and if you don't have a proper steamer or aren't good with cooking it perfectly in a pot, you can always make it a congee.(like a watery version.)(though i suppose sprouted rice would be

That's so cool and an ingenious use. I cut the tops off the big ones and use them as mini greenhouses for sprouting seeds indoors. (some like oregano need the extra warmth to germinate) three chopsticks inserted into the dirt keep them on.

I don't know, marsh. i think your diet sounds very healthy but also low in protein. i'd be worried too about your complete lack of grains. wheat, oats, rice.. they are traditional staples, probably for a reason. I mean, as a reducing strategy, maybe, but not for the severely long term. if i remember correctly, grains like wheat are very important for proper brain functioning and the endocrine sys

almond pulp is definitely awesome as a body scrub. it leaves your skin all oiled up already so you don't even have to moisturize after. i've never had a drain problem with it. if you have a ton of pulp, i read in some book or other that you can make almond flour out of it by dehydrating it then running it through the blender again. that way it'll keep for a longer time. they recommended it as

Ever read Get it Ripe by Jae Steele? What an awesome cookbook. If your sister likes to bake at least. This may be common knowledge, but I'd never heard of it before this cookbook. She recommended using a tablespoon (heaping) of ground flax mixed with a 1/4 cup water as an egg replacer in baked goods. OMG her baked recipes all come out great. Even if she's not vegan, I think this book would have h

i posted this somewhere else but got the ratio wrong. hydrogen peroxide (3%) is 1/4 cup per two gallons (Helene Silver) I only do this for non-organic. i'd save the dish soap for wax scrub removal only. have you ever grown your own veggies? they really don't get THAT dirty! but i'd go with the peroxide if your worried about pesticides. probably rinses way easier than dish soap.

i think the worst psychological aspect is definitely the social factor. i mean, it basically seems to boil down to (or perhaps cold steep down to or food process down to) being a minority against a majority. it can make you feel like "society just doesn't understand you" or worse, they just don't care. i get really down about it all sometimes, how sick "society" in general is/

Hi luvyuu, that's awesome that you're getting acupuncture! I wish i could get acupuncture, but it's like 120 bucks per visit around here. That alone should help some, but about the kidney yang definciency, I wouldn't go off of raw, but maybe go the herbal route and see if there's some kind of herbs you could take to help restore your balance, or if there's some kind of herbs or spices you coul

I know the hard part for me is being surrounded by cooked food. Being showered in cooked food. The convenience, but especially from a psychological standpoint, I know i've been programmed by a sort of fifties mentality from my parents. white flour and white rice is better because it's softer and "more refined", cooked food is better because it's been "prepared" to make it fit

I don't know about the toxicity warning, but i've had aloe chunks in juice from the store. So refreshing, but also supersweet! They have all these different flavors. Kiwi and aloe is my favorite.

I forgot to put the lecithin in but i made two cantaloupe smoothies with just a half a cantaloupe and maybe 6 big ice cubes and a big squirt of agave syrup. Awesome. . . It's good with papaya like that too.
