Yes, there are things you can do to improve your dental health. Most important is to avoid an acidic environment in your mouth. This can be caused directly by acidic foods, or by rests of food that are not cleaned properly. If there are rests of food then bacteria will start to grow and produce acids that will eat away at your gums and enamel. So, a) don't eat acidic foods, like citrus,

Another insightful article. Gallstone formation and weight loss. Obesity is associated with increased bile stasis and cholesterol saturation, and an increased risk of gallstone development. Conversely, bile composition is normalized following reduction in body weight. It would appear advantageous to promote weight loss in obesity, which would reduce the predisposition to gallstone formation

Found some interesting articles on the phenomenon of gallstone formation and its relation to diet. Review: low caloric intake and gall-bladder motor function. In obese subjects the risk of developing gallstones is increased due to a higher cholesterol saturation of gall-bladder bile. I'm still not convinced. Any scientific data? Cheers, J ps Ingesting 8oz of pure fat (as in olive oil), after a fast, could induce the liver/gallbladder to do strange things I think.

Haha, thanks Suz! Check this one out! In Japan the whole family uses the same bath water -- as a guest you will probably be given the priviledge of using the bath water first. Do NOT drain the water out after you have finished your bath! Mmmm..... not convinced about that one! Cheers, J

Raw whole fresh fruits and vegetables are fine, they are generally quite low in the glycemic index and load charts (check them out here ). Cheers, J ps For the benefit of people brwosing this post, I copy the explanation of glycemic index and load from that same website below. Has anyone ever analyzed those stones that form once the liver flush treatment has started? I'm a little skeptical and I think those stones might be due to the high amounts of oil that one is encouraged to consume. So in fact created by the treatment itself. What about documented analyses of before and after liver enzymes and function? Have people checked this out? I mean, liver function is so

Hey Suzie Yeah, that's always a good idea. I've read the Japanese have that tradition. Also, once you're in the house, apprently they use different specific slippers for the bathroom, which they regard as unclean, than for the rest of the house. Cheers, J

I tend to agree with Planta's reasoning. On a practical level, I've often thought that perhaps the degraded soils of today are just not sufficient for someone to be on a 100% raw vegan diet and get all the necessary nutrients. Also, today's varieties of fruit and veg are just not as nutritionally dense as the heirloom species they have been designed from. They are also not as fresh as wo
