62. Re: rolled oats?
planetjahne I tried soaked oat groats in a smoothie once... it made it thick and creamy. Usually though I just soak it and turn it in to oatmeal like Phantom suggested

63. Re: Knives
I did a whole post on knives awhile back on my site. Most of mine are either Henckels or Wusthof and I highly recommend both companies.

I have a Waring Pro Professional Juice Extractor... it retails for about $60 but I found it really discounted at Best Buy and I think I ended up paying $18! Such a steal!

rawdanceruk you have got to try making a banana tahini smoothie! Very creamy and you can't taste the bitterness at all.
1 banana, 1/2 cup water and 1 tablespoon tahini in a blender.

71. Re: rolled oats?
Most oats are not raw due to the steaming they undergo in the manufacturing processes. Occasionally I will eat raw oat groats (particularly in the winter) for breakfast. Some people have a hard time digesting them though.

I have heard this also...
Makes me very grateful that I get mine from either my tree or a neighbors for the most part.
I have had luck finding organic coconuts at local food co-ops when I am in the US. Perhaps you could see if there is one near you.

80. Re: Pools
In terms of pools I prefer the salt water ones... I can't remember the last time I was in a chlorine pool.
When I use sunblock its usually from Kiss My Face and the mineral makeup I use carries some SPF in it I believe. I also make sure to wear wide brim hats and try to minimize extended sun exposure in peak times (like 10am to 3/4pm).

Hey Dee... I keep my Tribest Blender at my office so that I can make fresh smoothies (I just take the fruit etc that I need or pick some up at a local vendor.)
I get some odd looks from my coworkers (but most are used to it by now) because its usually a green smoothie that I will make but it has sparked some interesting discussions on health and quite a few brave souls have even taken sips! C

Thats my thinking as well Ciara... I'm under the impression that urine is a waste product. There must be a reason for it coming out... so I see no reason to put it back in! That being said, to each their own.

A friend of mine bought me this book as a gag gift on my last birthday. It was actually quite informative (and pretty darn funny). It says that most floaters are the result of a buildup of gas...
