Mmm.. the way I understand things currently, it seems that the only truely "good" and "bad" in life exists solely within each persons perception of it. So ones actions are reasonably arbitrary save for their stigma or interpretation by each individual. When one chooses a fresh apple over an old one I believe an expression of creation is taking place but that niether option is

Harry I have a green star and I love it. It juices everything from wheat grass and vege's through to coconuts. The only thing it doesn't seem to juice that well are mushy things like pears where the pulp comes out fairly saturated. I would still recommend it highly though.

Thanks people. Perbetty - I have no problem with wheat other than I personaly feel its not good for the body and don't eat it, Apparently tamari is wheat free. I'm just wondering about the salt content there is in tamari. Does anyone know how much salt is in it, and is the salty taste of tamari because of the salt or is it a product of the fermentation ?

Wow.. Kwan how did you feel at the end of the 40 day fast ? I had only heard of one other person doing a fast for so long until I read your post and she was seriously weak by the end of hers. Also how long have you been able to water fast for, and how did you feel by the end of it ?

Has anyone done and experimentation with tamari in their diets or have any info on it ? I'd be keen to hear any experiences or opinions on this.

Hmmm.. I'm not sure about this eh, this area seems to get a little grey for me Kwan. Or maybe its just that it scares me and I don't want to accept its implications for myself. I'm fairly convinced at this point that the use of force to achieve any ends is a method born of the human missunderstanding of god/self. There have definately been key figures who have shone as becons of righteousness

Hi Kwan I haven't read the codex but I get the gist of it. I have read and heard tons of info over the years concerning humanities suppression in all its various forms which can essentialy be pinned to a ruling elite who controll the majority of the worlds resorces. There are still many who will quickly lable such a statement as another conspiracy theory which along with plain disregard, is a

Mmm.. I tend to agree with Rob. IMO with countries like Australia and Japan as runners up I don't think you can draw conclusions about dietary trends.

Hi all. This question could be covered elsewhere and if it is I apologise. My question is, is eating raw potato and other starchy vegetables like kumura and pumpkin good for you ?

Oh yeah.. another thing I forgot to mention is that I found out that the plastic gloves that the fresh produce handlers use in supermarkets is actualy not for hygiene as everyone thinks, but is actualy to stop the handlers skin from going black from the sprays :/ Yikes !!

Yeah I definately agree with you on the improvement of just eating raw anaken, but I definately feel that our current practices in commercial farming are quite unhealthy. I'm sure that you still have the basic nutrients in commercialy grown produce but you also get an array of not so good chemicals I've herd alot of stories about people having health problems related to them and having to remov

Man.. we are still in the age where our agricultural and social health practices are informed and driven by a structure based on materialistic values eh. IMO as long as the collective mindset is formed by individuals who place material gain above peace or mental harmony, then we inevitably make choices which produce self destructive habbits, practices and conclusions. I feel that the standard adh

My family and I eat lots of avo's. I can easily eat two or even three a day occasionally and don't notice any kind of problem. We often buy 20 green ones at the start of a week, and when they all start ripening (like maybe a few days off being properly ripe) we chuck half of them in the fridge which slows the ripening process. As we use the ripe ones we just pull a couple out of the fridge to rep

Thanks for the input people I definately wont be eating any more of it. For me it wasn't any kind of addiction, I just had the notion that we may have in fact needed it.

Mmm.. although I only eat organic, so presumably the sunflower seeds weren't heat treated. They sprouted well so they must have been ok.

Jgunn Thanks for your post I realy appreciate it ! In answer to your first question, the reason I am unsure is because it is easy to attribute some ill percieved experience to one thing or another and get it wrong when there are many variables in ones overall health as I'm sure your aware. That artical is very interesting and lends weight to my feeling it may not be so good. I tend to refrai

Hi all. I can't work out wether salt is good, bad, or otherwise and would like to know what other people here think. Obviously the quantity makes a difference to the observable effects, i.e if you ate half a cup full I'm sure that you would notice a fairly strong negative effect. I know that there are different types, and that the processed ones with added iodine are supposed to be prety bad fo

Yes pampam.. I've herd that seeds and nuts contain a natural enzyme inhibitor which prevents our bodies from utilising their nutrients. Apparently it changes when they are sprouted which makes it available to our digestive system. I've tried sprouting sunflower seeds and almonds but still find it hard on my digestion, and if feels like it locks up my mussles and stiffens my joints. I don't

Hey all This is my first time posting here, so a big HI from N.Z. I've got a query about nuts and seeds so I hope its in the right place. I've been eating high raw for a few years now and going on and off 100%. My question pertains to the effects of nuts and seeds on the body as I have found it negatively impacts mine, and wonder how other people find it ? Anyway gotta run right now but I'll
