I posted it, but don't think I could eat it. I have to be careful with the dense food. They give me a tummy ache. Smoothies, Juices, Soups and fruits & veggies are more my deal. I make a mean German Chocolate cake that I partake of a couple times a year. :-)

There's no fresh berries in Oklahoma this time of year. I do blueberries too. We also have no whole Foods yet or Trader joes. Very VERY limited organic stuff so I get what I can. We have Wal-Mart and a couple of local grocery stores and that's it. Whole Foods comes in the Spring I think. banana who Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Wendy: I am copying down

I don't think most people actually live in a stress free environment. Work and bills are huge stressors. Companies demand more and more of people and unfortunately right now people are lucky to have any job even if it is not stress free. i haven't seen her yet. I go back mid November after 3 weeks of clean raw eating. I read elevated liver enzymes can be indicative of hepatitis (which I don't have any of those symptoms) and luekemia. So when I read that I decided to stop searching on the internet and wait for the doctor LOL. The elevated potassium is indicative of kidney damage. Albeit slight, she doesn't want to see any incre

Hi, Not asking for medical advice just opinions. I have elevated potassium and elevated liver enzymes as of 2 weeks ago. This has been going on for most of 2009 and I had hoped the numbers would have gone down with my increasing raw diet. Dr. is fairly concerned. Do you think raw could increase potassium levels? I eat about 4 to 8 bananas a day, Also berries, salads, and occasional cooked ve

I have a bowel disease and I find that "Natural Calm" brand magnesium powder works much better than a saltwater flush. Saltwater flushes make me gag. You might give it a try. Fir me it only takes 2-3 tsp a day in a glass of water. petrichor Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Things haven't been moving through as much as I'd > like them to. Did someone teach you? I finished the 3 day course (was free). She gave some background, but basically it all came down to the simplicity of clearing the mind. It takes practice though, as a beginner there are so many thoughts. I really would like to come see you sometime. Even if for a few days.

Tonight was my second class. The teacher talked about food tonight and they importance of vegetarian (vegan) eating. She spoke of the negative energy of the killed animal and the impact that energy has on the soul. She is so peaceful. She come to Oklahoma from Dallas to train. She invited us to the center in Dallas. She also teaches lessons during the week at 6:30am which I will attempt to make.

Bryan, Wow I wish I still lived in Santa Rosa. I'd be fairly close to you. I'm not currently in a position to relocate, but I'm really in a place to move through my current situation. I sure would like to visit sometime though. I saw the book "Autobiography of a Yogi" there is the 1946 edition and a newer paperback. I'll check the library. Oh! Before I go futher...my AM blood sugar

Today is a better day. I've only had liquids so my bloating is better. I had blueberry/banana/spinach smoothie for breakfast & dinner. It was "lunch out" at work. The others went to a restaurant after they stopped by Jamba Juice so I could get a fresh fruit smoothie. I asked for a banana with strawberries and an orange with just water to blend. They told me they could juice oranges

I think you did great and there is nothing wrong with lettuce. It's a great green as long as it's not iceberg. What kind of dressing do you like? I don't remember if you can have soaked sunflower seeds or not with your condition. I let them sprout overnight and blend with lemon, pepper & parsley. Tastes kinda like ranch. it doesn't take very much. Of course Like I said I don't even know if yo

Well lemme tell ya. I have issues with Cushing's Syndrome, hypothyroid, hypopiutarism, and low progesterone. Any one of these can cause insomnia, anxiety, panic attacks and muscle pain (tension). I have all three. I am trying over time to get off meds, and I did stop my steroids, but I currently take trazodone to sleep, klonepin during the day (when the shaking gets to bad), and meloxicam for my

Gastric Emtpying Scan tells if the body is not emptying food. I actually was dx'd through an endoscopy. If one has a history of diabetes or hypothyroid (I have both) they consider it neuropathy of the vagus nerve. The other way the vagus nerve gets damaged is in surgeries where the nerve inadvertently gets cut. That is the worst. tanawana Wrote: ---------------------------------------------

Thanks for the informative info on fat. I appreciate all the free info I can get (I'm so tired of researching). I don't use any oils. But have been dehydrating sunflower seeds, and blending them for soaked for a salad dressing. I ate a banana yesterday and it spiked me 30 points. I'm kinda scared of them now. Grapefruit doesn't spike me at all. I'm checking on berries today. I mono day would b

About 2-4 TBL maybe a day (lately). I can give you a rundown of what I've been eating later (at work right now). Today was a smoothie (1 banana, 1c blueberries, handful of spinach). It spiked my sugar 80 points at 2 hours, and 5 hours later I was still at 165 for a noon reading. Normally I'm about 200 when I wake up and drop about 100 points by noon or 2 pm. At 12pm I had 6 stawberries, a

I’m really scared and frustrated and don’t know where to turn. I am diabetic and I have vagus nerve damage resulting in a paralyed gut which requires a lots of juices and smoothies because liquids digest easier. The things that I enjoy the most are fruit based smoothies w/ greens, but they raise my blood sugar. The thought of living off a blended salads sounds unappetizing. I tried eatin

Hi Byran, I can try to eat some cooked, but it ususally causes me problems with my gut paralysis. I tried Dr. McDougall's plan before and was so sick. I'm not too worried about low calories for a short period of time at this point. I'll be able to add stone fruits and berries soon.
