I have never been much of a watermelon eater until recently. Whenever I eat it, whether it is organic or not, my body starts to ache. It is a very uncomfortable feeling. It is now one of my favorite foods but I'm thinking about giving it up because I feel so awful after I eat it. Has anybody else had this experience? Maybe it's a watermelon allergy?

Hi ThaiMango, I had morning sickness in my first trimester. My husband (gorillawar) made me flax crackers which were my saving grace! I ate a lot of those and a lot of fruit in my first trimester (especially apples, I really craved them), as it was difficult for me to stomach vegetables for some reason. I really enjoyed orange/banana/blueberry smoothies as well. In my second and third trime

Hi Michele, Our baby is almost 10 months. He usually eats solid foods about 4 or 5 times a day and is breastfed. As far as amounts go, I feed him until he spits food out or refuses any more food. He is fed with a spoon and he eats some things himself with his hands like pieces of bananas, mango, and avocado. Regarding Vitamin D and B12, I give him a multivitamin for infants that contains

Hi everybody, I went ahead and ordered the 80/10/10 book that has been recommended on this forum. It has gotten harder for me to digest my usual staples of sprouted beans, nuts, and recipes that are suppossed to taste like versions of SAD food. I'm in need of a change! I know that a lot of people on this forum follow this diet, and it seems like it works for them. I have been drawn towards eating

I found that yoga helped me quit smoking. The asanas and breathing exercises were great stress relievers. The more I got into yoga, the more I didn't want to smoke, as I knew it would affect my practice. Tea tree oil toothpicks also helped when I felt like I needed to light up. I would sometimes chew on two at a time.

We try to buy as much organic as possible, but sometimes the prices are too high or it's just not available. Here is a list from the Environmental Working Group: .

If you want to see if you are ovulating, you can buy ovulation predictor kits at the pharmacy. It's a test that detects the surge of luteinizing hormone in your urine which normally occurs 24-36 hours before ovulation.

hi ladies thank you all so much for the advice. today i ate all raw and feel really good. i got my cycle on Wednesday and it's been really draining...cramps, heavy flow, tiredness. when i was all raw (for 4 months last year) my cycle was not nearly as bad (and i got it naturally--no drugs to bring it on). i think my hormones balance more when i'm all raw. just have to make the commitment to do

Hi everyone, I have been eating mostly raw but a lot of my calories have been coming from dried fruit and fat. I am wondering if I should stay on this path, or try something like Dr. Joel Fuhrman's diet (raw fruits and veggies, cooked vegetables, some grains and beans, small amount of raw nuts/seeds/avocado, no oils or dried fruit). I would love to be eating tons of fruits and veggies and less

applebaby, i recently tried my first durian. i agree, the smell is quite pungent! after we opened it, the smell continued to linger for a couple of days. i kept lighting incense so it would cover it up. i personally thought it was one of the worst things i've ever smelled (and eaten). i could only eat one bite before throwing it outside in the trash. but many people are crazy about it so maybe y

rankdurian, Considering that we live in such a toxic environment, I do not think that asking questions about superfoods, such as chlorella and spirulina, which are known to remove heavy metals from the body, is irrelevant.
