Hi Everyone. Hello Sachelle, nice to meet you. I've been off again for some time now. I just started back up. You know the drill. It's been hard for me to get things straight in my mind. Also financially, it's been very difficult. I'm getting back to eating fruit, one day at a time. I need it more than anything. I live in pain when I don't. So. Ya know. I know it works. That's what's important. I

So. Another bump in the road. I do so well and then fall on my face for a day or two. I try not to beat myself up but I know that when I go off raw, it's so hard to get back on. I have to remind myself that not eating raw will result in pain and going backwards from the health that I love so much. The spitual experience that it is to be raw. Another lesson learned. I saw an old lady today just st

Don't despair Starfruit. It takes time and repeated effort to be raw. You've been cooked all your life; give yourself permission to be a human, k? I know from my own experiences that it is a habit, a spiritual journey and a physical detoxification that needs to be done. Once you are determined, you will succeed. Listen to what your body is telling you. If you need rest, then do it. If you want th

Hi. Congrats. You know, it takes alot to overcome the cooked food addiction. I've been working on it for over five years. Each baby step is a success. Each time you cave, you learn something new. Then get back the next day and do it again! Each time you succeed, you become stronger. Even if you are only eating one or two meals a day, you are nourishing your body. Hugs. Peggy

OK. I'm back. I've gone 100% raw. Yes, I'm off the Pepsi all-together. Eating only fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds and pure water. I'm over the headache but still fatigued so I'm guessing that I'm detoxing pretty good. Not surprised. I'm keeping myself intouch with other raw vegans through websites but I really wish someone would be my raw buddy so I have someone to talk to. Even though my husban

Green Living has a wonderful array of raw recipes and color pictures, videos, etc. Specifically, they show a new recipe for raw pumpkin pie. Maybe just substitute and hold the pie shell? MMMMmmm! Look here...

pps from peg - I forgot to say that I eat only raw fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds and pure water. I do dehydrate some items but usually follow a mono-diet with occasional salads and raw vegan recipes. Do I need more green?

Hi. I'm Peg. I've been mostly raw for a long time but only recenty went completely 100% raw. I went off Pepsi a week ago. I've had Fibromyalgia for several years. going raw has been wonderful and my pain is usually non-exisitant. However, since I went off Pepsi, I've noticed I need more sleep, I feel like I have the flu and my muscles hurt to do anything. I know winter is almost here and I'm hopi

9/25/06 Sorry it's been so long. I'm still with it. Doing the raw about 90% so far. I mess up now and then but it's really hard when there's no available raw foods and a restaurant has no decent salad or alternative. Yes, I could NOT eat, but usually, I'm so hungry I get crazy. So, I'll let myself off the hook for now. I'm doing better everyday. I started a 30-day challenge for myself starting to

I eat all day - fruit, veggies, nuts, seeds and I love avocados. Right now I'm maintaining and rebuilding muscle. I know that Stephen Arlin recommends olives too for body building - he has a great book on building muscle. Hugs rawcountry

Yep, it's hard not to go to family functions and not eat with everyone! I'm thinking of taking some nice dishes with me to Thankgiving this year and sharing. Not sure what the family is going to say! We are with you! It only takes a few days to get back on track. Hugs for you. rawcountry

8/6/06 - Went out with my hubby a few days ago and had fish - ooops. Paid for it too. I'm back to 100% raw - ok 98% with pepsi. Duh. I'm maintaining my weight. Not sure if it's pepsi or rebuilding my muscle I lost last fall (FMS). Maybe both. I am feeling alot better though. I'm not taking any medications at all. When I get muscle spasms, I use alot of pure lavender oil. That helps me relax and l

I have (had) arthritis and Fibromyalgia - so bad that I was on low dose morphine for several months last year. I went raw 3 months ago and the pain is GONE. As long as I stay with it (raw), I'm fine. My energy is slowly coming back too. I was in the wasting phase (yes, FMS is degenerative too, inspite of medical "experts" and I've put on a little weight (muscle). Yeah! rawcountry (Peggy)

I guess this is as good as any place to start. I've been going raw/fruitarian for years. I'm finally doing it. I live in Utah. Sometimes it's hard to get a good variety of raw fruits/veggies. Especially tropical. Not so many rawbies here as in CA and other places. But here, I am at home. Most days I'm eating mostly mono diet but I love a good mango salsa, chips and avocado. I love Mexican food so
