Mosaica...I am already taking an MSM supplement for joint pain, so I don't think that is it and on many days I add hemp to my smoothies...but not everyday, so I'll look at increasing the hemp in my diet.

Thanks Pam. I'd like to hear what your books have to say. Before I was raw, I used to eat a lot of cheese, so that probably took care of it. My nails are a tad on the soft side too. The hair loss REALLY bothers me. I've been noticing it increasing now for about 3 weeks when I would wash my hair and this week has been the worst. I can feel it falling out on my neck and I'll sweep my hand through m

I should also mention that I have flax almost every day, either ground over my fruit or in flax seed crackers. Since flax is full of omegas, I thought it would take care of the problem, but it hasn't.

I am having a green smoothie every day, 2 bananas, 1 c kale, 1 c spinach, plus 1 TB of super green stuff that I add which is equivalent to 24 servings of veggies. I am not stressed. I have had hair loss in the past but when I started taking a daily vitamen / mineral supplement, it stopped. Now it is back. Since I also have the skin healing problem I think it is a deficiency associated with diet.

Yes, the onion bread is raw. I got the recipe from someone on this forum. It turned out a little saltier than I prefer so if I make it again, I would reduce the amount of Braggs. It doesn't get hard like the flax seed crackers...more of a toast consistency, although it is flat like a cracker. I do have an excalibur, 5 tray, which suits my needs just find. Here is the recipe. I am experiencing increasing amoungs of hair loss, itchy skin, and prolonged healing of some skin areas. An internet search revealed that this is a deficency of linoleic acid usually found in red meat, milk and cheese. Since I am not including these in my diet, I am not surprised. Suggestions include taking CLA (conjugated Linoleic Acid 500-1000 mg day), Evening Primrose Oil or a TB of olive oil

Great day yesterday...stayed 100% raw, although I was tempted a few times. The flax seed crackers and onion bread I made came out really good. The bread makes a great "sandwhich". Here's what I ate: Breakfast: Green smoothie (1 c kale, 1 c spinach, 2 bananas, 1 TB energy greens) Snack: raw bar Lunch: 3 nectarines, 1 brazil nut, 2 flax seed crackers, 1/2 avocado snack: 1 fu

All grains or beans would need to be sprouted in order to be considered "raw". I haven't had any success with rice, but many other grains and beans are tastey and easy.

I also use teas for medicinal purposes only at present and do not consider them a part of my raw diet.

Wow! It sure sounds like every one is doing great. I spent some time in the kitchen today and made flax seed crackers and raw onion bread. I haven't made the onion bread before so I'm anxious to see how it comes out. It is still dehydrating until probably this evening. My non-raw hubby lhad some at a raw restaurant this past weekend and really liked it, so hopefully it will work for him. I say he

I enjoyed the vanilla nut....both the flavor and the aroma. To me, it tasted the most like coffee. The hazelnut for some reason tasted to me like mushrooms. I haven't tried the mocha flavor yet. It's been too hot! I just got my nut bag and want to make some almond milk for my next taste test. I think it will be great for this winter

I like to fix a fuit smoothie. It is cold, sweet and filling with not that many calories. I freeze my fruit which makes it thick but then if I'm really hungry, I'll put a lot of water to make it go farther.

She is doing good...and seems to be feeling better. We are still doing 2 meals raw (dinner / breakfast) and 2 kibble (dinner / breakfast). It will be one week on Thurs. I am watching her stools. When they get to be consistent, I will give her more raw.

This will probably be my last week posting here as school is starting and I can't allow myself the time here. I just love reading everyone's posts but it ends up consuming a lot of my time. I try to skip over some, but I guess I'm curious by nature and just have to read every one! I'll have to play it by ear, but if this year is anything like last year, I barely have time to bathe... Today I'

I've decided that I need to keep the commitment towards 100% raw. Anything less than that gives me permission to cheat. I can't even say I've been tempted by cravings...just allowing myself to do whatever by the mentality that "high raw" is just as good as 100%. Well, I've felt discouraged and out of balance for the past week doing that. So today, I'm back to the 100% raw mentality and
