Soon we may have to avoid apples forever... like corn... thanks to the wonders of cross-pollination. Unless, of course, WE OUTLAW THIS MADNESS. .\/. Keep those psychopaths away from my apples!!

Cross-contamination is one of the major reasons to ban all GMOs immediately... But that doesn't change the fact that the organic standard does not allow GMO. Yes, they SHOULD test. I would never touch organic corn with a ten foot pole, and I'm a bit leery about some organic alfalfa seed I just purchased. I'm all over the organic zucchinis and tomatoes, however. >8) Organic is also sti

I was anorexic since I was eleven years old, and struggled with it on and off into my early 20s... until I found raw food. It was like a light went off in my head and I realized I could eat whatever I wanted, as much as I wanted, and there was absolutely nothing to be guilty about. I wasn't binging, but in the beginning, especially, I found myself eating like I was making up for lost time... l

My landlord pulls Shaggy Manes out of the yard and leaves them on the hood of my car. Mushrooms are one of those foods you legitimately have to cook to make some of the good stuff bioavailable and destroy the nasty stuff (unlike the tomatoes and lycopene argument... jeez ). So, some lightly cooked mushrooms on top of an otherwise raw salad from time to time... really does it for me. I've

Haha... I don't have any of that newfangled wireless stuff either. But I've got a laptop and a webcam. I will take some low quality PIXX for you all when I go Wednesday. And you can see how many gorgeous tomatoes I eat! I work all day Sunday. =( Can't make it any of the big ones...

The FBI loves to infiltrate vegan potlucks, I kid you not. "Green" is the new "red." Watch out for vegans, aka "watermelons"--green on the outside, red on the inside. It makes me ROFL, except, they're serious. Google it. :O Veganism is a HUGE threat to many established powers that are... albeit a completely peaceful threat, that if they followed the trend, woul

Echinacea is endangered, so I would take its source into account if you need some and it's going to help you. Or eventually grow your own, I hear it has beautiful flowers. Hope you're feeling better! Cat's Claw is another great herb to supercharge your defenses.

I would only ingest fermented soy. From Susun Weed, in Breast Cancer? Breast Health! The Wise Woman Way: --- 4. Eat less tofu and soy beverage; eat more miso and tamari While it is true that if you begin eating soy foods as a child and continue throughout puberty the breast tissues you create during your adolescence will be highly resistant to cancer until after menopause. However, if

I just found a really fascinating website, all about herbs and their many interactions with the female reproductive system. It's tricky to navigate, but it even talks about clearing up bad pap smears with naturopathic treatment... Lots of great stuff about enhancing fertility and strengthening your body naturally, the complex interaction of hormones, etc. *Disclaimer: it also mentions herba

Although, knowing the FDA, they might just stamp it with a big smiley face... Whole foods FTW! If it doesn't grow, if you don't collect it from the earth yourself, don't ingest it... I owe these guys a big thanks for that reminder, anyway.

Thanks for your input! From my understanding, in humans, anyway, vaccinations actually prolong the extinction of disease in a population, and their ability to immunize is questionable at best. I know I've been heavily programmed, but I wonder, are there some real documentation and studies showing the case would be different for animals? I'd also hate to live with an animal that developed

I'm moving into a house where I can finally get a little buddy... HORRAY!!!!!! I was wondering, does anyone know of any great websites for raw fed dogs? (rawfedcats.com is awesome, for example) Also, vaccinations. My gut is telling me to avoid them at all costs. I sure as heck would not take a needle, so why would a little man need thimerosol, aluminum, dead animal tissue and all that other

I only used Adya as a portable water filter, like when I was stuck at work, thirsty, and it would be tap water or nothing. Ha! Should have settled for the tap water. Adya... didn't really do anything besides make my water taste a bit different. It makes me angry to know that I had such an awesome supply of heavy metals going into my body. I didn't take it enough to have black crust coming o

I'm happy I threw the bottle in the garbage when I first read this way back when? Also, I still have slightly spiteful feelings toward the snake who peddled this stuff (I should have known better, my own fault, really). Wasn't there also some fallout between Adya and Monarch after he started giving people their money back?

One thing I like to do is warm soups on the lowest setting on the stove, stirring constantly, and checking the temperature with my finger. If it doesn't burn your finger, you're not really burning the food. It does wonders to eat something that's still warm! If warm raw food doesn't cut it, if gourmet raw food doesn't cut it, and you're still just absolutely going to crack, be real about your

The worst thing that seems to repeatedly happen to me is I express my desire to be present but exchange no gifts for Christmas. Other parties demanding my presence swear to abide by this pact. But come Christmas, of course, they all bring gifts anyway and then sometimes I look like a dirtbag. That drives me insane! So, making a little treat to bring is at least something. The past few years

I am so sorry for your loss. I'm not sure if your wife is working or where she is working, but long-term exposure to certain types of machinery/equipment can also play a part in difficulty bringing a child to term. There are SOOOO many external, environmental factors that are not any one person's fault.... I wish lots of healing to you both.

You should have the option to refuse treatment. I have only heard horror stories of the state getting involved if people refused chemo for children (minors). But those cases are not the norm and garnered huge attention. I wish I would have known about juicing et al before my mom was diagnosed with cancer... Chemo killed her, not cancer. I suppose, really, all you can do is educate people

Do NOT eat the leaves on tomato plants!! They are INCREDIBLY toxic and full of tropanes, plus more nicotine than wild tobacco. People have died from drinking tomato leaf tea. DON'T DO IT!! :O On a friendly note... some plants you CAN eat almost all the parts, like dandelions. Flowers and leaves can be eaten raw, roots should be steamed or boiled (and make amazing tea). Also, if you have ras

It's not me, but someone I know has had all kinds of weird problems that never fit any one diagnosis since being in the early 20s. There is an autoimmune component to spondylitis, isn't there? He just found out his mom has had it her whole life and is getting tested for the blood marker... We found a little bit of success stories online with 811, but was wondering what else people may have don
