Simple Living, what is an ayurvedic practitioner? I've been on a naturopath's program for 3 months and she has directed me towards this raw lifestyle along with other supplements and herbs and stuff. So I am running with her and trusting her (trying to anyway )

OP, i get my produce from a local farmer's market, scouring the stalls for organic produce. In addition, I go to 2 organic shops which are very expensive and spend too much there and need to spend much less. I also go to the grocery store to buy fiji water and a few other items such as cleaning products (white vinegar, bi-carb soda, borax, powder, washing soda) etc. I've been getting pears, plum

I have chronic excema and while being on a high raw diet for 3 months I have experienced other benefits (chiefly more energy and significant weight loss), my excema is still rampant. I think skin takes a while to heal and it just takes patience.

Simple Living, I TOTALLY agree with you regarding the spiritual stuff in raw energy books. I also am ONLY looking for health not spiritual awakening. Hugs to you regarding your photos. I know exactly how you feel and now I love the way I look! such a huge difference after a lifetime of struggling with weight. Go go go and get control of your health. Grayzie

Due to budget constraints, we cannot afford to get everything organic. I'm wondering what you consider to be the most important things to get organic? ie what foods are sprayed more than others? I'm guessing all grains, nuts, leafy greens, brassica (broccoli), strawberries and grapes should always be organic. What about bananas? Avocadoes? Peaches? Oranges? Carrots? Other fruits and veggies? my husband has just started on raw to 'give it a try' (i've been raw for 3 months). He has a very physical job and his tummy just feels 'watery'. He had some bread yesterday at work because he was so hungry and immediately felt better So what can i feed him? Are rolled oats raw? I gave him those soaked overnight in oat milk with blueberries this morning for breakfast, as well as a green smoothie

maui_butterfly, my daughter is only 2, but she will tell me what she wants (and doesn't want) to eat lol. I'm just amazed though because my husband has been on raw for only this week so far, but because of that there has been no meat and potato on the dinner plate, so she hasn't asked for it! I am amazed because she was always asking for meat and potato and I wondered how I could ever get this ki

146. blenders?
i can't afford a vitamix blender. i've heard that the sunbeam cafe series blender is good. Does anyone know if it blends nuts and seeds well? What blender do you have to make your smoothies?

The only think I know that would slow down your detox is to back off on the raw and slowly move back to full raw. If you can, sleep it out! But of course, in this modern society there is so many life pressures. Good luck. Grayzie

I hear you! Just keep on with your diet and perhaps he will eventually see the benefits. Slowly integrate some of the yummier aspects of your diet onto his plate. I guess with kids you can feed them raw as best you can, but not 100% as your husband may give them some of his stuff sometimes. Good luck.
