For dinner, i finished off the last of the fruit salad (i added two more stalks of celery and one banana to freshen it up a bit). Prior to that i drank about 25oz of apple/pear juice blend (delicious) and finished with an avocado. Pretty full about now. Worked up an appetite by chopping wood for about an hour. i believe, for me, chopping wood is the absolute greatest overall exercise. After t

Last night i got the munchies. so i pigged out on 4 bananas. They were delicious. i still have a strong taste for celery. So this morning i added two stalks to my fruit salad. it is working famously as i feel very good. i was able to improve a bit on my fruity sauce with the addition of some soaked prunes. This is what i called the unChocolate fruit nectar. made with the juice of apples, pears bl

I ate the other part of the fruit salad for dinner but i added some chopped celery and cucumber. Had a taste for those and it worked well. I also added two avocados after that. Done for the day with the exception of some water. Feeling very good. Also, I tasted two prunes (they were not organic). Hurt my teeth they were so sweet, I didn't expect that. I plan on using them to make sauces for my fr

I suppose the raw/not raw line is one of the areas I would consider "discipline". The vast majority are born, bred and raised on cooked foods and it doesn't immediately appear natural to do otherwise. If it were easily apparent.....there would be many more fruitarians. Peace. Todd

Today is the 8th day of this journey. Hopefully sometime between 60-90 days I will stop counting the days. But not at this time. Broke my fast this am with a tall glass of fresh OJ. Did a 4 mile powerwalk then came home and had some grapes as I prepared my fruit salad. Two things I noticed, first is I definitely drank the OJ too fast. I am so used to jugalugging liquids. It didn't hurt me, but

The water fast went pretty well today. I was able to go shopping for fruit and not be tempted to taste any. Although I always like to sample the grapes before buying. I am looking forward to a nice fruit salad tomorrow. Peace.

"I've found that you have to pay the piper at some point, you either do it sooner or later....depending on percentages going raw vegan first will not make going Fruitarian any easier, because as soon as you go Fruitarian you'll still have to adjust and detox. Be good RB" RB...While I definitely agree that there is going to be serious detox when embarking on a 100% Fruitaria

ty RB & ty Phantom. Phantom, I believe you are correct. Being raw first is a good idea. At least it starts the initial cleansing process. Understanding what to expect is very important. I too have done periods of very high fruit intake and felt very high levels of health. Being raw is untold times better than being cooked on every level and the higher raw the better usually is one's experi

i had posted this in another area but after review I thought section is more appropriate. I will be posting my daily intake here as a matter of record. This will not only keep me accountable but also (hopefully) inspire others in their own path. After having been raw for 4.5 yrs (not always 100%), I believe I am being led to fruitarianism. I have had high respect for the idea of fruitarianism

After having been raw for 4.5 yrs (not always 100%), I believe I am being led to fruitarianism. I have had high respect for the idea of fruitarianism for many years (even when I didn't have a name for the lifestyle;even prior to becoming a raw vegan), but I now realize it would have been impossible for me to actually life it until now. This is actually my 7th day on all fruit (although today

If I had to choose an addiction, let it be fruit and vegetables in their natural state with all the life giving properties intact. Rather than processed substances that have been fortified with processed sugar and other chemicals. So for me, Zanjabil's statement rings true: Chocolate=crack processed things labeled "food"=crack. Glad you were able to vent, learn and grow Zanja

Bro Richard, Glad to see you are still heavy in the game of health brother. I am very impressed with your web site, Great Job!! Keep up the good work. What you stated is absolutely true and while I totally miss-read Bruce's point (excuse me for that Bruce), I think you hit my point on the head. Regardless of what a fruitarian/raw vegan/vegan does, the world will never be satisfied. Specifi

Well, if the goal is to win over the non-raw athletic world to the raw lifestyle, then i see your point. It appears almost like a witness I suppose. But that aside, to me its enough to prove it in my own person for me to know it works. But, more to your point, seeing is believing to the cooked world. Todd

Being that I am not a veggie lover, I never took the risk. I just juiced apples and added dates and raisins to it before adding the green. I have found that baby spinach is the one that gets real green but has no effect on the taste for me. Collards are strong and have a light scent, but no way I could/would consume that smoothie without the date/apple/raisin mix.

I believe that, just as thirst is the body needing water, hunger is simply the body needing nourishment in the form of vitamins & minerals. We are simply conditioned by our SAD diet culture to believe its all about how we feel. Most of the sensations that I used to think of as hunger, I now understand are just cleansing, detoxing going on in my system. I do believe there is such a thing as hu
