Is there anywhere to find cheap organic food. I live in Illinois in a town that is 4 blocks by 7 blocks big. Not a whole lot of opportunity here! I almost need to find a wholesaler or somewhere to buy bulk. We mostly need alot of organic oranges, medjool dates, raw organic almonds, and any other staple food produce. I would like to get it fresh, but not where it is going to cost me an arm or

I'm back on the road again! Again...an update since it has been quite some time! hehehe! sorry about that guys! Okay...went to see my beautiful little sister get married last weekend. Well...to spare everyone the grief...I fell off the bandwagon...hard. I did eat a few meals raw but not enough in the 6 days we were down with my family. I really have a hard time feeling like the "odd

Hello everyone! Much to my surprise I haven't gained any more weight...and I feel better, despite my NOT to goal diet. I really want to do atleast 2 meals raw or atleast mostly fruits and veggies (raw or steamed). I'm sure for most of you out there that is easy, but my background is a major emphasis on meat and pasta and pop...and BREAD! My knees and ankles used to kill me, but now that I h

Thanks Earthangel! I have made up my mind that as long as it is working I'm going to stick with it...and if a time comes that it doesn't then we'll trying something else. I have to be versatile and just be well informed! It helps when I have time to calm down and keep my thoughts grounded. Okay, to the diary. This morning: I wasn't really all that hungry so I drank some soymilk; lat

okay...i know it's been a few days since I've posted. We took our daughter to the "specialist" to read the results back from her test. He tells us she's perfectly normal but couldn't explain why adding more of the raw food into her diet was working. He actually told me that I was doing wrong by her by trying to go raw. He told me she will not receive enough protein or folic acid. H

Sorry it has been a while since I've last posted. We were down south clearing land. It was difficult to stick with alot of fruits and veggies while we were gone...my mommy's homecooked meals are almost an emotional/physical attachment! I can honestly say that it was the hardest to resist there where I grew up on the worst kind of food. Why is that!!! It has to be something psychological!

I just purchased a blueberry plant and am so excited to have some soon. what do you do as far as fertilizing organically? Since we're on the topic of fruits, do you know if raspberries would be okay in containers as well?! I'm new to the organic gardening, well...just gardening in general! Last year was my first garden and my birdhouse gourds took over! hehehe! Thanks ~jes~

Hello earthangel and benetgirl! I haven't purchased any books yet. I've been relying soley on the internet as my overwhelming resource! We live in northern Illinois so I don't think I'll be able to borrow any... We had mostly living foods today...and boy let me tell you...talk about a migraine and grumpy. I am tired and sick feeling. I'm guessing this is my bodies way of telling me I've

Thank you so much! I am willing to try anything. My heart has been telling me this is the route I am meant to take for a while now. We have always enjoyed our fruits and vegetables. I have to be honest though, my childhood wasn't one that introduced too many greens! We were a poor family growing up...so lots of cheap, overly processed foods. I had never even heard of some of the produce tha

I am new to this whole world of thinking! But I must say I am quite excited. I have always tried to eat what I considered a balanced diet, but have always longed for sweets. I am overweight, my knees and ankles are killing me and I have no ambition or energy. I guess I'm your normal case of wrong choices! I love my husband and I love my kids....I want to be healthy and I want them to be heal
