Thanks, Sapphire. Yes, I hope this is it. Called him, but he said no need to come by. He said he remembers he had no trouble with me. We got along just fine. He said he was still reviewing things and would know next week. I feel very positive about this. Salad for lunch. Also juice: carrot, cucumber, celery, beet. Also, watermelon before lunch salad. Yoga...I really wanted to go b

Smoothie: banana, plum, pear, spinach, stick of celery= delicious. Such butterflies in stomach with the smoothie. I am going to call this job prospect that I want so much to come through, tell him that I will be in area and shall I stop in? Oh, what will come of this? This is a major domino...my life will change so much depending on which line it falls onto. I'm at a crossroads.

A raw day, thank God. Am going to soon open a melon, I hope it is ok. I've eaten fruit today, a green smoothie, and a salad. My friend and I hit tennis balls today...I hadn't done in long time, it was fun, but to hit again makes me miss my tennis days. That was a fun obsession...but it is not yoga. Yoga is number one. I want a cup of sweet camomile tea. I want the book Quantum Ea

kudos to you for resisting the temptation...you are STRONG! Your dedication to yourself shines through. I wouldn't be so strong------if I had to cook for others.....omg. I sympathize with the depression. I know very much what it is like to get depressed. Not so much these days, but I have a history of it and am familiar with it. What do you do to feel better? Exercize definitely helps

Arnold Ehret books, Shelton, Paul Nison books (the interviews are good to read), Doug Graham 80-10-10, Art Baker's Awakening Our Self-Healing Body (you can find on Amazon), Raw Secrets by Frederic Patenaude, Blatant Rawfoodist Propaganda by Joe Alexander, Fruit, the Food and Medicine for Man by Morris Krok---some of my personal favorites.

That's wonderful positive news, Sundancer. Much better job, I hear that you are really into the better position, more responsibility, etc, and will be great training, as you say, for your own venture. And, I really hear the recommittment to raw foods, as a Necessity. Health and clarity and poise definitely do come with rawfoodism. (also some detox, but on the one hand there is positive detox

Mostly raw today and I did yoga, which was great. I did almost every pose. The triangle was tough...hips are rearranging I think. Just a couple weeks ago I was doing a pretty good triangle; now, not so good---but, I think it is because hips are getting better!! Transition. Food highlight was a papaya, which I shared with the yellow sided conure because she doesn't eat much of it at all!

Hi Pampam. It sounds like you are doing prettty well these days. I am interested in reading the Zavasta book, and will get it eventually. (Right now am in dire straits, looking for work, etc. I even toyed with idea of charging the book, because that is how I am---so impractical) I am wondering if you could tell me a little more about this thing "quantum eating"? Just some basi

Hi Sapphire! I see you started a journal. It is a pleasure to read your posts. Exercise is a great key. Sore muscles! Happy muscles! Doesn't feel like it though, does it?! I haven't been to a yoga class for a couple of days. We can't go today either, but will tomorrow. My hip hurts and I need to put it back in the crock pot, LOL. When you read my last entry...well, don't be disma

The rise and fall of Elakti.....continual...rise and fall...so many steps forward and back: I am smoking AND eating cooked food (sometimes there's a loud thud as I fall completely on my bum). Today I plan to take back my food and eat predominantly raw. I've had watermelon this morning. I opened it yesterday and it is delicious. I have another melon, papayas, oranges. I have salad....wil

Just finished post yoga grapes. Yoga was different today. Problematic hip is changing. Past few days I was doing triangle so much better, stronger. Teacher even commented on it one day. Today, weakness in hip joints and musculature was not holding it up well...that is what it felt like....discomfort, almost pain in hips....but, not awful pain, I think the pain of change. Such a difference t

Have you tasted the organic fruit? Sometimes good fruit doesn't "look good" at first, until you get used to it. Sometimes the best fruit is smaller and funny looking, at first. When I am in a normal grocery store I am baffled by the produce section....big ole perfect looking fruit, looking unreal and shiny and plastic to me!

Didn't meditate. This evening. We'll see. Ate salad for lunch, and vegetable pot pie (last one on hand, maybe not buy anymore?). Made veg. juice: only one carrot, lots cucumber and celery. I figured this would be very good pre-yoga...cooling cucumber and celery, natural sodium, etc. good for the hard work in hot room. Maybe it did help...I stayed throughout class and did almost every pos

I'll keep you posted! Smoothie with bananas, pear. Ate 2 peaches. Grapes. Am about to make vegetable juice. I have gained weight. This must stop now, I'm taking control of this. I cannot will not gain any more weight. I hate obesity and bad food more than anything. If there were such a thing as second hand obesity...too bad there isn't. There should also be a 75.00 ticket if

Hi Sapphire, thanks for checking in with me again! Your support is welcome, how lucky I am to have all this support here. Yes, I definitely would have plenty of cigarettes, I would put cartons on my visa. Cigs would come before food. There is the sickness right there in print. I am on 5th day. Geeeeez. 5 days. I don't even want to think about it. It makes no sense anyway. At the bus

Not smoking is boring. Now there is a danger signal and something to address. I'm back from yoga. It was great. Rather a hot class but I managed it well, since I've been going everyday. On standing bow-pulling pose, which I get into much farther lately (for a few seconds) the teacher encouraged me, saying I had good alignment. I'm working so concentratedly on these poses, it is great

Instead of piano, I was at my vitamix. Smoothie for breakfast. Then cooked food with horrid indulgence, the unmentionable. Double dose. stuffed. constipated. oh, sigh. Ok, easy does it. Digest this, do better next meal. How about a salad? Thanks, Soraya for good words. I don't feel so strong right now, but am chomping on my nicotine gum. I will make some vegetable juice, which w

I feel so ungrounded, about as far away from looking for job as can be. I've been listenng to music all morning on youtube...piano music...ahhhhhhhh. Chopin, Liszt, Brahms. I listened to one of favorite pieces, Ballade # 104 by Chopin....I cried. It pulls my heart out. I love it. I love this piece. I used to listen to it over and over and just cry and die from the beauty. Chopin put to

I had a very good day. Yoga was wonderful. I struggled, sweat, groaned, sighed, grimaced, smiled, etc etc. Wow, what an incredible 90 minutes. The best thing is to do it everyday (or maybe 6 days/wk). I wish I had a recording of today's class!!!! The teacher acknowledged and praised me twice, wowie zowie!!!! Me! After balancing stick she asked my name and then told me that my balancing st

Thank you thank you, Soraya. So much support! You can say that again....I certainly do have a lot on my plate! LOL Evening now, and I feel a bit wired, antsy....perhaps more oxygen than normal and less drained/fatigued than usual. I feel like running around the block. I should hit the floor in Half Tortoise Pose. Good idea. I did eat some yucky thing, but also ate some excellent frui

Thank you Sapphire for such cheering for my 24 hours!! In 3 hours-ish it will be 48 hours.... Grapes this a.m. and green smoothie. I woke up real early. Later made veg. juice---carrots, celery, cucumber. I did not feel well, and had mucous already eliminating from lungs and I was chilled. Put on socks and sweats and sweatshirt all zipped up and even put hood on head! I was freezing

A little over 24 hours without a cigarette. I feel not so good. Down in dumps, sad, confused. Sometimes ok, earlier in day. Sleep will be welcomed, ah to be unconscious. Yoga class this morning. It was a little hotter than last two days, but I did well enough. My effort was good, and I felt very good afterwards. I am looking forward to next class. It will be such a great help. Foo

Point well taken. There has been a burgeoning awareness of this. I need to quit all the victim thinking...the this and the that rationalizations, excuses, reasons, complexes, etc ad nauseaum. Let it all go. All that keeps me in victim/failure mode and only fuels the habit. I have to quit quitting. Yes, I see that the answer is very much in what you have said there. I need to be a full parti

Which book by N. Walker do you have? Do you have (and have you read?) Arnold Ehret's "Mucousless Diet System"? I have an extra copy. I ALWAYS go back to Ehret books! I am more and more amazed by him. When I really need to be redirected, refreshed---I reread Ehret. I appreciate them more and more as time goes by. Have a great day.

Banana and big bowl of grapes for breakfast. I did not quit smoking yesterday. Did not last long and as long as I lasted (a few hours) I ate non-stop including non-raw, started thinking about chocolate, and even though I was wearing a patch, started feeling desperate and panic-y. This is what I am up against. All the youtube info, all the scary pictures and facts....washed away in the p

hello hello I just saw your "too pure" thread. I think there is so much to go through on this rawfood path, and I think there is the aspect of such increased sensitivities. I don't have much time right now, but just wanted to say hi and it is an interesting---and undoubtedly frustrating---challenge. I wish you could get a copy of Matt Moarch's Raw Success and he is very much concern

I just read through that thread, Sapphire...awesome. You know what you're talking about, what an experience you had with the cancer. Thanks for sharing all that. Yes, the cigs are like mini chemotherapy sessions self-administered. I enjoyed and got a lot out of everything you posted, thanks a million.

Thank you everyone for the support! How neat to see the comments. I did go to youtube---and I watched almost all the quit smoking!'s. Wow. That was a good dose of antismoking motivation. What a sinister thing this habit is, sinister. I want to boot it out forever. I think today is definitely The Day and I also have a slight panic for fruit and vegetable juices and more vegetable juices
