Karen...have you seen the documentary about the people who were able to get over the diabetes in 30 days by eating raw foods? There's was type II though. There are several blurbs about it on youtube, but apparently the full version "movie" is coming out soon.

Well, honestly, not too well. I had a pretty good day yesterday, until the evening. Our church hosts a military wives banquet every year for the ladies at Camp Pendleton, CA. We had 300 women and 225 kids. I was in charge of the nursery. They brought pizza around for all the workers. I just love pizza. I ate it and it wasn't even good. It's like I have this "memory" of how good pizza is

Thanks for the info. She finally ate the kibble this morning. It was funny. She kept wathcing me open and close the refrigerator...waiting. She even stuck her head into the refrig. Finally, she ate. I don't know if I should give her one more meal of kibble tonight since she didn't eat yesterday evening...or if it would be okay to give her the chicken. I guess there's really no way to know for sur

Well here's my update...her @#$%& was a little loose today. I gave her kibble for dinner. She just looked at it and looked at me as if to say, "Where's my chicken." She still hasn't eaten.

Patty...are you making your own hemp quesadillas? The only ones I've had have come from a raw food restaurant. I'd love to try making them myself. Do you have a recipe?

I didn't know there was one. Where do you access it? I'm in CA so I usually check in the morning, sometimes at lunch and in the evenings. But when school starts in a few weeks, my time online will have to be drastically reduced.

He seemed a little confused...and kept checking and rechecking. He is rather shy and introverted...and so am I, so we didn't really discuss it, but I was pretty pumped about it!

I think that's a great idea aquadecoco. My sister died of breat cancer at 34, leaving behind 3 young children and a husband. She had one lump a didn't want to deal with it until the sister pressured into going to the doctor. Surgery...chemo...death within a year! It's so scarey!

Well...she tolerated the chicken last night and this morning quite fine and seemed to really enjoy it. So far her bowel movements have been normal and no apparent upset. Tonight I'll give her the kibble, just to be on the safe side.

Ali...welcome! I think your post is very helpful. I have a problem with the texutre of vegetables and just generally don't like them. But I too have a green smoothie everyday. Its really the only way I can get my greens. I freeze baby spinach and kale. When I add it to my smoothie, it turns almost to powder. This morning I had 2 frozen bananas, 1 c spinach, 1/2 c kale, 1/3 c goji berries, 2 TB he

I just read on this forus that you can buy wheatgrass shots in bottles. How does this compare to fresh and where can you purchase them? I'm thinking for travel, it would be great. The one shot I had yesterday really cleaned me out! WHEW! I would have to be very careful about increasing it to more! A friend of mine buys the trays of wheatgrass, just cuts it and chews it because she doesn't

This is actually the recipe I used. My husband wasn't impressed....and it made 8 cups. So today I'm going to get a bunch of tomatoes and make straight tomatoe juice and try adding the "V8" to it to see if that improves the taste. I'm wondering what kind of tomatoes would work best.

I think I posted this earlier, that my eyes have turned a brighter shade of blue. And last week I had my check up at the eye doctor and the stigmatism that I've had for the last 28 years in my right eye is now GONE and the left eye has improved as well! AMAZING!!!

I bought a kitchen aid food processor at a dept store and love it! I have a Champion juicer which I ordered online which I really like also, but wish I had purchased something that will do wheatgrass.

Where do you get the E3 Live and the wheatgrass juice? Is the wheatgrass juice as good as making it fresh? I don't have a juicer that will do wheatgrass, so short of buying another one, I would be happy with shot bottles as an alternative.

Funny about the chicken! LOL! Katie is a dalmatian mix...part dalmatian, part sneaky neighbor dog... adopted her from the pound 5 years ago and she has been the best pet our family has ever had. I decided to give her the chicken tonight, even though she had kibble this morning. Then I will give her the chicken in the morning and kibble tomorrow night. My thought was having the long over ni

When I first went raw, I never dreamed I'd like wheatgrass. I bought a juicer that doesn't do wheatgrass...and now I'm hooked on wheatgrass. Is there a good, inexpensive wheatgrass juicer that would work for one person not juicing large amounts?

I like your idea John. After all was said and done, the comment was that it was not tomotoey enough. So I think making a tomatoe smoothie and then adding the concotion would work well. Thanks!

You are absolutely right! I was so amazed at how little juice is produced by one orange. I used to dilute it to make it go further, but now I just drink it straight with ice. YUMMY!!!

I didn't get a chance to go to the market yesterday so I went today and got all the raw chicken for my dog. My daughter and I weighed her and couldn't believe how much weight she had gained. No wonder her little legs hurt her. She weighed 47.8 lbs. so I decided to give her about 1 lbs a day, divided into 2 meals. I'll see how it goes from there. I know the dog is getting old but I want to make he
