Yes, this has happened to me. But clearly, it is part of a desire to eat more sugar and fat before the period. Every month as a woman ovulates, according to her hormones, she prepares her uterus for a baby. This causes extra cravings for sugar and fat about a week to a few days before the period. It is common to eat junk or overeat and then get the period. Or, try to just eat extra fat or su

I fed my dogs their first raw vegetarian meal, and it was so beautiful I actually sat and watched them eat their entire meal. They devoured it like savages. It was a feast for them: celery, kale, daikon, turnip, yellow squash, egg, and a little olive oil. I gave them the pulp from my juice, plus some larger bits of celery and turnip. They don't like kale, but mixed with egg, they devoured it

I would say that is Candida. I've had it for 14 years (my first symptom was Athlete's Foot). I'd suggest 100% raw (stay away from the pancakes at least for a little while). Go fruit free for a little while. Add more greens and green juices, and garlic. These are a few suggestions. I've got lots, due to dealing with this for years. But, I have not gotten rid of my Candida yet. I think 1

I came looking for ideas for transitioning dogs to a raw vegetarian diet and I found little. I found one nice dog food recipe. Looking at the posts inspired me to begin right away feeding my dogs raw vegetarian, especially after seeing so many using raw meats, and even being very adamant about dogs needing raw meats. I so disagree. Cats are Carnivores, so it is different for them. But for the

Dogs are Omnivores. So are humans. If Omnivorous humans caneat all veggies, so can dogs. It is the nature of the Omnivore to be nourished by both! It is irritating to see how many people on here (a site for raw vegan humans) are vehement about feeding dogs raw meat and not feeding them veggies (especially in a post about veggie dog food)! I know thriving, beautiful, raw vegetarian dogs.

Coconut oil is good. I've tried all the small remedies like that: coconut oil, oregano oil, garlic, probiotics, etc. However, they don't get rid of it completely. For me, they have just been about maintenance. And the Celiac thing I found interesting as well. I have creases on my fingers that I have found strange in the past. So, I'm checking it out with a test for Celiac tomorrow.

Brian Let everyone go their own way. Here as everywhere, veryone is in a different place, even regarding raw foods. You just take care of you. And yes, getting angry and disapointed about what others do to themselves is not taking good care of you. Not everyone here is into pot and alcohol. There are plenty who share your opinion. However, it is important to not impose your opinion on oth

I tried 3Lac, and it made me much worse!!! Very bad stuff. i was suspicious to be sure as it consists of sugar largely (with probiotics). I am always suspicious of anything that claims to get rid of it without the person having to change their basic dietary habits (of eating sugar and refined foods etc.). But i tried it. Then, you know, they had this money back guarantee that they didn't honor

Yes, I had been advised about too much fat being the real problem. This was the reasoning behind my supposedly being able to eat fruit again. It sounded reasonable and i went for it. It seemed good. And thus, i was able to eat fruit for a little while, while doing raw foods only and not too much fruit. Now I have gotten so sick that I am afraid to try that again any time soon. I will aga

Thanks everyone! Rawangel, this is so very encouraging, and then again, not so much. I mean, I went a year not being able to even do a two week fast again, because it wasn't good enough and yet it was as long as I could do it, long as I had enough discipline and willpower for. But knowing what I have gone through, I know it is something just like this that I must do. I always have known. It's

I have been trying to be 100% raw since January. I have been more successful than in the past. I've been 75-90% raw for twelve years. In spite of this, I have not overcome Candida that I've been aware of having for 14 years, and in fact, I have developed so many allergies that I can hardly eat anything at all. In addition I have serious signs of deficiency. Candida has been eating away at my

Colonics or enemas are a very good idea to alleviate detox symptoms. Also skin brushing and epsom salt baths. And yes, easing into it gradually is also a good idea. Take it as much as you can, but at the same time, don't take it too far. Be good to yourself! Gwen
