Oil Pulling helps by keeping your mouth clean and "drawing" toxins out. Basically, you just take 2tbsp of UNREFINED sunflower oil or sesame oil and swish it around in your mouth first thing in the morning for 20 minutes. What kind of tooth paste are you using? I found that to be my main culprit.. even with the "natural" ones. For most people, too much citrus and sa

I have thyroid issues which causes edema when the wrong foods are eaten or salt. I always end up fasting to get rid of it and it takes a couple weeks. For quick fixes though..Dandelion Root/Tea or Diuretic Teas. You can buy a tincture of Dandelion Root at a health food store and just add it to water or juice. I've never noticed celery juice working or making me pee more. I tried it once to

This product: It's basically a water filter/ionizer that "alkalizes" tap water. My local co-op bought one and is selling the water at $1 per gallon or so. Supposedly it's *the best* but I can't say I've had anything positive from drinking it. It doesn't taste all that "clean" to me. It seems a bit..fizzy? I thought maybe it's the alkaline=ness hitting the metal/filli

I don't understand this post.. So her colon was removed 2 years ago, and NOW is the only time she's ever had diahreah? Were her stools normal before she tried raw? If she's been eating ONLY or MOSTLY cooked eggs and cooked potatoes for 2 years, anything new she'd eat would give her cramps and diahreah. If she's always had the diahreah - half her colon is gone which means the stools can't fo

Also,.. you're talking about liver/gallbladder cleanses.. LOL. Do you have any idea how beneficial carrot juice is for the liver? (fresh, raw..if you have a juicer or even blended carrot juice would be great) Also, lots of people do liver flushes and all you need is epson salt, grape fruit and OLIVE OIL. Stuff you can find at your local grocery store ALL for less than $10. Again, check o

This doctor sounds like a quack I took my cat too. "Holistic" and came up with all these so called diagnosis for my cat, sold me at least $100 worth of magic "supplements" and I didn't see one improvement in him. Not the slightest difference in anything. Let me guess, Dr Quack is selling some special brand of "supplements" ? Regardless of what might be wrong with y

I wanted one to be able to heat up water to make teas with. I bought this one and what a waste that was! I thought it was great that it was made out of glass..but the boiler thing was metal and the cover was plastic. The think reeked and smelled like plastic and I washed it so many times. I also heated up the water a few times and tasted the plain water and it still tasted like plastic. I

Hope you guys don't mind me posting this here. I feel like venting. I feel like it fits more with this forum than the gerbil forum I was just on. I was breeding a few years ago and quit when I had a large litter that brought me up to 17 of them. That was a little over 5 years ago. I just had the last one from that litter put to sleep today. (Another died last month). He had an external tumor grow

I think it depends on the problem and how often you do it if they make things worse. SAD people are addicted to antacids and pop Tums like they're candy every other day. Obviously eating Mcdonalds just to have to pop some pills afterwards isn't a good thing. I've taken Tums as a quick fix for things like trapped gas which is something you can't sit and wait out because the longer you do nothin

I don't think people hate those who are "different". I think people in general are turned off by the way people go about whatever it is that makes them "different". Vegans and Vegetarians wouldn't get so much crap if they didn't go around judging other people for eating meat and making comments and faces. Fine, don't eat meat..that doesn't mean you have to sit there braggi

This isn't really the forum for this. Most people on here are vegans and against dogs and raw food. - Diseases are only "irreversible" when you're dealing with a Conventional Quack. - For more "raw food" info, just keep doing google searches for Raw Foods. Lots of Yahoo groups for this too. - "Alkaline" is a people thing. Dogs bodies are completley different. Fo

Sorry, I forgot I had this link or I would've posted it the first time.... Eye Diagnosis Excessive blinking is a sign of nervousness, anxiety or fear. A drooping upper eyelid indicates a sense of insecurity, fear or lack of confidence. These are all signs of vata imbalance. Prominent eyes indicate thyroid gland dysfunction. An yellow conjunctiva may signal a weak liver. A small iris

What is the best kind to get? Traditional Phillipine or Centrifiuged ? I get mine from here and I can't decide which to use. I like the "Traditional" taste better. But supposedly the Medium Chain Acids are one of the benefits of coconut oil and the other kind has more. Any thoughts? Besides "just eat a coconut". Thanks.
