Does anyone have a legitimate organic and raw source for chlorella? I just discovered that Sunfood was bought out by Monsanto and am at a loss for where to even look anymore. apparantly most chlorella is being produced by a tobacco manufacturer and relabeled under the name of various other supposed organic/rawfood companies. I haven't researched this myself in depth so there may be/no longer be a

Thank you everyone for your responses. This has really been tearing me apart. I want to do everything I can to help her heal. I hate that I allowed my daughter to become a victim of industry. I wish I could take it back but I can't. I just have to try and move forward as best I can. Thank you-olivia

Hello, Almost two weeks ago my 4 month old daughter was subject to a ct scan of her head. I left the hospital with the relief that she had no brain trauma, however, I went home with a whole new set of worries. Little did I know (as I was misguided by both a doctor and a nurse) that standard ct scan can potentially expose the patient up to a low dose equivalent of radiation found amongst survi

hello after a long departure to any old posters who may remember me. i came to this forum two years ago looking for support and was nurtured by many optimistic and hopeful people who helped guide me through my transition to rawfoods. now, though, i find myself facing the same demons once again. before i started raw, i suffered from derpression, weight issues, skin problems, and bulimia/binge

can anyone suggest a vegan b12 brand (possibly sublingual) that they are currently using. i know that you can get b12 naturally, but i do not grow enough of my own produce to obtain it from those sources. arugula- i know that i have never personally adressed you, but i searched the forum for suggestions on b12 supplementation and you were the only person i could find who had mentioned they spe

I have had the same problem as you mira... too much energy to fall asleep. the only thing that has really helped is exercising more. I don't mean to be critical but i don't think that 35 minutes a day of exercise is adequate on rawfoods. A month ago i was doing the same thing.. exercised for maybe thirty minutes to an hour and could not fall asleep for anything. Now I "exercise" at lea

it has been a while since i've posted on this sight and have been evolving pretty well on my own, but i am still in need of some guidance. i've got my heart set on converting a diesel car to biodiesel fuel, but really don't know where to start. this is one project that i have not researched and dived into on my own because i'm thinking that it is better to seek advice straight from those who have

thankyou everyone for your input :] i feel very sad and put off though. my dad deceived me about what was in the smoothie, i asked him over and over again if all that it consisted of was fresh fruit and he assured me that it was, but while drinking it i thought that it tasted slightly off, and i was starting to get a stomache ache .... so i asked him if he happened to put in yogurt, and he s

my dad has made me a smoothie, but accidentally put in a yellow plantain instead of a banana. Are plantains alright to eat at this stage, even though they are still very starchy? Is it unwise to eat this? I really want to drink the smoothie, since he made it for me, and i cannot really eat anything else since i just had oral surgery... any advice would be appreciated, but it is not that big of a

My family is so oblivious to government agenda, and the FDA. When I first realized that they were making this manditory it scared the hell out of me. I told my sister and mother that girls are probably going to die because of that vaccine, they did not believe me,and could not understand how the vaccination was a bad thing. So sad.

When I said cut out the fats I meant to exclude The Dha,Epa and omegas, since taking a tablespoon or so of these a day would not count for too high a percentage of fat, plus their effect would deffinately be more beneficial than detrimental.

Hi Mislu I understand exactly how you feel, infact I was depressed for the past couple of months, though it was not very severe. for 3 years prior to raw I suffered a very severe depression, the only thing I can compare it to is Sylvia Plaths experience in The Bell Jar. Once I went raw my mind cleared out so much, but it did not totally wash away all the feelings I had before. Only in the past

For the past week I have been in and out of the orthodontist having my teeth adjusted and pulled. I've had spacers placed in my mouth that cause all my teeth to rearrange. Basically it feels like they are all loose. For the past three days, because of my current state, I have just been eating watermelon, and tried to stomache some persimmons. Whenever I eat I don't fully chew my food, because of

I just thought that I would share a real photo of myself, in order to empower others These photos bring back many memories, and they never allow me to forget where I have come from and what I have been through in order to get to this point. I never want to and never will go back to that place, no one should have to suffer like that. You hold your life in your own hand and you have the power t

I read somewhere that it takes up to 36 hours! I cant remember whether or not this was raw fats. Also I just ate alot of onion, and I am supposed to be at a party in a few hours ( I know HUGE mistake lol) does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of the smell??! I know this may sound rediculous, but would breaking a sweat through a couple hours exercise get rid of it? AHH I wish I

I would love to start my own organic garden, but don't even know where to start. As of now I have 2 pear trees, 2 plum trees, 2 apple trees, one hybridized citrus tree (grapefruit, oranges, lemons, and tangerines all fruiting on the same tree) one pink lemon tree, a blueberry bush and a pepper bush (im not sure what type of pepper it is, but it's a spicy one like habanero.)The trees are only 2-3

great question! I've always wanted to know the answer to this. My guess would be about a week for one day of eating cooked foods, from whatever food group. At least for me it takes about a week, I watch the whole process my body goes through. Constipation, which can last up to a couple of days, lack of appetite, diarrhea, constant thirst. Also after I eat anything processed or cooked (especially

I just ate a whole persimmon, skin and all (are you supposed to eat it without the skin?) It was amazing! It mainly tasted like a fruity ball of sugar! :p What I noticed while eating it was that on the inside there were tiny black speckles.. I am wondering, is this normal? Also out of paranoia, lol, I should mention that I purchased these from a fruit and veggie stand, whose owned by a very respe

Haha thanks everyone, your posts made me smile :] I totally agree that big tests like the PSAT and FCAT and whatever else are complete bogus. And yes the fact that standard schooling totally bores the hell out of me may also be playing a large part in my zoneing out, but its not just happening in school. I can't focus when I read or sketch, and I love doing those things, but everytime I try I ju

Would anyone happen to know if Himalania brand goji berries are sun-dried? Is there really any other processing they would bother to put organic goji berries through? I mean is it standard to have them sun-dried?
