Yeah..sure..why not? It's only a half melon so it won't be in the fridge for too long before it's eaten. Love, Prism

I read the article and I have no problem with it at all. It gives personal experience about that persons diet and how it evolved. I agree with much of what he says too about discoveries of nutrients that are recent and ones that are to come in the future. Caution, planning, research, and personalizing your diet to fit your needs is a good thing to advise. We do not all come to the same place

The U.S. Constitution guarantees citizens right to pursue happiness. "It's up to you to catch it". Benjamin Franklin _________________________ On that theme, happiness, I just watched a movie on Netflix called 'Happy' which is about what makes people feel happiness. It was enlightening for me. Simple to just try to blow up a beach ball or balloon..no need to go scientific with gadgets. Something I had read (maybe I need a t.v. instead of reading so much) got me thinking about the folks here that are into yoga, the fitness people that bike, run, etc..how would they fare in just blowing up a simple beach ball or balloon. Hence..the request for volunteers to give it a go. Also, I r

This is just for FUN..no big deal, nothing to do with trying to 'win' anything, no need to be so precise. It's really all about testing your lung capacity, then you can post whatever you like about your experience. This is more about learning something about yourself..not anyone else learning about you. If anyone wants to try this experiment of how many breaths it takes to blow up a balloon or beach ball and post their results please do here. State what you are blowing up and maybe the size too and how many breaths it takes to finish. I'm going to go a see if I can buy a beach ball from the dollar store and if they don't have those some balloons..or maybe those punch balls..it's the dollar s

Wow..I should never go back and re-read my posts..the spelling errors are embarrassing. Anyway..I think I'll make a new thread about blowing up a balloon or beach ball..see how we rate on our lung capacity. That sounds like a bit of fun. Love, Prism

What I'm doing is taking Hawthorne, Coenzyme-10, zinc, and Vitamin D3 5000 IU liquid form besides some other supplements. I can really notice the difference either from the D3 or the coenzyme-10..maybe both. I started them the same time. I had taken D3 5000 IU before and didn't feel much or any change before..so maybe the coenzyme...I don't know..maybe even the Hawthorne. But I'm determined to

I tried sitting on the floor for 2 days and then I went back to the couch. I slump over when I type on my computer since the keyboard is on an end table and I sit on the couch. It's not a good posture..so I have to find a better set up. I think it would take some instruction and retraining of muscles for me to attain a comfy position on the floor. Sitting with your back against something w

I was lucky to have found a large diameter swim noodle at my K-mart some years ago. It has the same density as the ones you find at the chiropractors and they are cheaper by a long shot. I also cut mine up and had several of differing lengths to use. All for under $6 if I remember. It worked my sciatic pain out and it was a feeling of 'hurts so bad it's good'. I don't have those anymore be

In 90 to 95 percent of people with high blood pressure, doctors do not know what causes it. That's amazing to me. I'd like to know what people here think the cause(s) might be? I also learned that having high cholesterol doesn't mean a person will have high blood pressure and visa versa. I read too that high blood pressure could be a symptom of an underlying health condition. That makes

Tried the urine and it wasn't as good as warm water and baking soda. The baking soda soak give me the best deep cleaning of my cracked heels. I like the fixitol cream but it's not any better or worse than other otc stuff imo. Cocoa butter, coconut oil all have worked just as well for me and when absorbed by the body much healthier. It's my fault when my feet get in this condition. I wear fl

If you just started cardio that may be a sign of what is causing the pain. Check out this really cool website and I think you'll find some good advice on how to do exercise in a way that won't create pain. I also would advice an ND or other health probationer if the pain worries you. You might also try blowing up a balloon or beach ball to check on breathing capabilities. Love, Prism

The best thing I've ever used for rough heels was a small hand sander. I think a small dremmel tool would work best. There's vids at youtube about that. I used the cream for first time last night and it is nice. I'm also going to try soaking feet in urine. I found out there are a lot of beauty products that use urea in their formulas. About the chemical burns you say you've experienced.

I came across a youtube vid that says to use a product that contains urea to soften my feet. I read up a little and it says that the urea is synthetically formulated and I'm not sure exactly how they do that. Seems like they use molecules from real urea and then reproduce them. Anyway I searched to see what comes up for soaking feet in urine. There are lots of references for doing that esp. f

BW..I mention the website because it has lots of info on back pain, hip pain, sciatic pain and how to resolve it with adjustments one makes to their posture. The website is for info. if anyone was interested. I like to find out more about a subject I'm interested in at the time. Sitting on the floor seemed like there might be more to it if I delved into it. Love, Prism

Anyone have advice or websites to help with getting started on best way to forgo couch and sit on the floor instead? Prana mentioned that sitting on the floor is helpful for unlocking hips..I like that idea. I just don't know if I should sit on pillows, or flat on floor. I did just come across a website that seems to have some common sense to sitting. Lots of info. that seems helpful. I'

You may want to consult an N.D. or some other naturalistic healer. You could research the ratio of calcium to magnesium and more often than not you'll find adding magnesium to your diet will offset too much calcium the typical diet has. Also, research vitamin D3 (not D2). More or lots more greens in her diet..juicing would be an easy way to get more greens in. There are lots of recipes for gre

In the past here there has been a lot of talk about cabbage and fermenting it. In fact someone (I can't recall which user) had crocks for sale for fermenting. Cabbage would be ideal I think, fermented or not. I think there were some recipes where you don't have to add salt or so much salt. You might do a search here. Love, Prism

I came across some interesting tid-bits about these philosophers. ______________ I have tried, too, in my time, to be a philosopher; but I don’t know how, cheerfulness was always breaking in. Oliver Edwards in Boswell’s “Life of Samuel Johnson” ________________________ Epicurus (341-270BC) wasn’t what we now think of as an Epicurean. Far from indulging in orgies and banquets, h

I had a neighbor who had really pretty hair and I told her and she said she took 1000 mgs. of Inositol (a b vitamin) a day. I also think having enough Iodine in your diet helps. I also soak head to toe in a rinse bath of povidone iodine. I think it has done a lot of my hair and scalp. Love, Prism
