Ah, I have the perfect suggestion for a half marathon like this! Well, not perfect for everyone, but it could work for you. ^_^ Chia Gel is great for a good run, and it's something easy to carry. I ran across this a few months ago when I was running quite a bit everyday. www.rawreform.com/content/view/345/127 Unfortunately, if you can't find Chia seeds anywhere near you, this wouldn't

Well, I don't know about hot "temperature" wise foods...but I do know that using spices like cayenne pepper or eating jalapenos (if you can stand them) will give you that feeling of "heat". I hope that helped a bit.

We're reproducing like some type of delicious organic veggie of goodness. :O No seriously, congratulations! ^_^

Ugh, I'm sure some of you have heard this on the news already (in the States, at least). Apparently, our friendly FDA has stated officially that "cloned meat is okay, safe, and legal to sell and consume." If I weren't a raw vegan already, I think this would make me seriously reconsider putting meat into my system. >.<

My soon-to-be mother-in-law suggested a very raw smoothie that gave me some get up and go. ^_^ *glee* Blackberry, strawberry, and orange juice smoothie. =O I don't know why, but my tiredness just sort of...went away. Now, I'm not saying it won't come back, but I WILL say this is the first time in about 2 1/2 weeks now that I've been able to not feel like I'm attached to my bed. =D

Thank you everyone for all the great advice. I thought maybe something was seriously wrong with me, especially when my sleeping schedule had gone from 7-9 hours a night to a 3 hour nap in the middle of the day and then ANOTHER 13 hours of sleeping a night. o_o I haven't gotten much sunlight recently, so that's definately something I'll be doing more of, as well as the carrot juice idea.

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't posted much. I tend to do more reading than question asking. ^_^ I'm 3 months pregnant and doing alright physically. *yay =D* I'm afraid, though, I'm quite tired. It's to be expected, of course, but it's a very "unnatural" tired. I haven't really changed my diet much, as well as not gaining nor losing vast amounts of weight. Now I know that in the fi

You know, I never really tried using CSS myself, but my mom tends to use a teeny little pinch of it from time to time. Seeing as how it IS salt not found in something like a fruit or a vegetable, I'd think it wouldn't be too good for you in big doses. My best guess would be that if you can handle it, then try it out. What doesn't sit well with me might do better for someone else.

I bought a Magic Bullet Blender a few months ago. It is pretty powerful for such a little machine. I end up using the blender attachment more than anything.

I've never really been a slave to things like sweets (whew) and being around my "Fat Flush soon-to-be mother-in-law", I no longer care for meats, dairy, grains...but I did have this one little bitty (HUGE) crutch...SALT. I ate all sorts of processed salty things from the dark abyss: top ramen (all kinds of flavors), condensed soups (this was a big one), marinated mushrooms/olives/banana

Good afternoon all (or morning/evening, depending on where you are). My name is Casi, but you can call me Snuggles or Bunny or whatever really. I've been reading the raw food forums here for about 3 months, gathering info and whatnot. I decided to finally join this morning after getting (what I thought) was a pretty good idea of what I'd be diving into. I'm not entirely new to eating raw or f
