I alwyas bring some raw fruit with me whenever I fly, such as apples and bananas. I just stash them in my carry-on and they go through security with me. Nobody has ever given me a problem about my fruits.

As for me, I buy organic whenever possible but living in South Texas it's not always abundant. The only things I am willing to go conventional on are avocados. Luckily, there's usually a decent selection of organic fruit available so I'm able to maintain being a high-frutarian raw vegan. Sometimes I go for a while eating only bananas, avocados, pears, and maybe grapes. If this is all that's a

Hi! My dad just developed gout so I've been doing a of research on the topic lately. The things I've found to be really helpful are adding a BUNCH of dark purple pigmented fruits, mainly dark cherries but you could also use blueberries, blackberries, etc. I was making him eat an entire bag of cherries a day and his gout lessened within 24 hours. I also have him taking dandelion and burdock ti

I finally stopped eating lunch at my workplace after people commented every single time. Most of what they said wasn't bad or offensive, it just got old when I was trying to savor my fruit and people would comment or just chatter away. I now go outside to my truck to dine in peace and quiet. They would all admit I look much better than they do and that I ate a lot better but this was just

I've been high-fruit since January, so not exactly long-term; however, there have been tremendous improvements in my skin! I used to constantly have chapped lips that are now smooth and supple. Also, the skin on my chest was slowly getting some fine wrinkles that have now smoothed out. Everything is so soft and smooth and clear. My complexion has tremendously improved. I have wonderful color

The only non-fruit food I eat is tofu, which I have in the morning then fruit throughout the day. The thought of eating vegetables just doesn't appeal to me. I know there are many reason why people chose to go fruitarian, such as the ethics of killing plants, but I am doing so to fashion my life after Genesis 1:29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the wh

I know when I went totally raw, my weight dropped from 115 to 107 which was completely awesome. I felt good, I looked good, everything was good. Then I went high frutarian, >90%, and my weight went up to 120! I can't figure it out. I have a small frame so this is a lot for me; I even have a little roll. /blush I eat mostly whole raw fruits, take the stairs twice a day to my work on t

Adam and Eve consumed the fruit of the tree of good and evil; it wasn't an apple, it wasn't a seed, or any other common food. This was a tree planted in the Garden of Eden that they were expressly forbidden to eat of. This was a single tree that no longer exists on this earth since the Garden is no longer here. To say that what they ate were seeds in general and it was the protein content that

I have watermelon for lunch probably 3-5 times a week. A small seedless one here is only maybe $2.99 so they're very convenient and affordable. I just slip one into my lunchbag (hello kitty ^_^ ) along with a knife and spoon and head off to work. Everyone is always envious of me because they smell so good, much better than their fast-food burgers or frozen meals, anyway. Watermelon makes me h

I only eat twice a day now and have been doing this for months already. I have breakfast at around 5:30, lately it's been raw nuts and seeds with raw agave nectar, then lunch is at 11-11:30ish and lately has been a bunch of fruit. And that's it. I'm just not hungry at all after noon and it was really easy transitioning to this routine. As an added bonus there are less dishes to wash! Yeah!

I've heard that all almonds leaving California must be pastuerized and can still be labeled "raw."

It's so nice to meet a fellow Christian vegan! It seems that almost everyone else on veggie message boards are either atheist or follow eastern religions, so it's refreshing to meet another Christian. I've been veggie since 1996 and finally went vegan a year ago. Since then I've moved up to an 80-90% raw diet and plan to reach 100% soon. Hopefully. I understand about the nutrition
