swimmer, truly a beautiful shot of the clouds. And yes, they do look like a fountain. Also loved the poem. Would like to use this pic for my desktop, with your permission. Most of my desktop pics are of clouds. I find a lot of serenity in them.

Utopian Life, Thank you, and I agree. We are all creatures of this Earth. The discriminating should stop. But feeling your beliefs in your heart, you can accept the criticism of others. I know who I am, and am quite content with that. Life is my love. Debbie

Sorry for this post, but yes,I am Wiccan, which means I love and respect Mother Earth and all of life's beings. If that is evil, then what is good? Brian, I think what you wrote is uncalled for. I wish the best for everyone, and "happy raw eating". Happy Holidays to all, whatever your beliefs! Debbie

Haven't written on this for quite some time, though I do come back often to read the posts. Now I am finding I need some help. I am a vegan and have been eating raw for around 6 months now. I used to get instense stomach pains whenever I ate raw vegetables, so at the time I found more comfort in junk foods. (yes, veggies can be junk food eaters). When I decided to go raw, I started eating

I do know the extreme pain that gallstones causes. I did have them at one time. Everything I ate caused such pain, it was hard to function. I am not one to go to doctors, so I looked up herbal remedies. I found that milk thistle and dandelion root were good to take. So I started taking them. In a couple of days the pain started to subside and withing a week I was pain free. I was vegetarian at th

I came from a family of heavy drinkers. maybe that is what kept me from drinking in the first place. an extreemly abusive upbringing. But I realize that I am not everyone else. I need to work on me to make my life the best I can. I also grew up in the "hippie" era where there were tons of drugs all the time and a lot of pot. And yes, I did try it way back then. It never did anything for

Brian, I totally agree with you on this. If you are consciously taking something to alter you sense of mind, then why are you taking it? We have been given this glorious thing called life. Why mess it up?

Brian I think you are taking eveything here as a negative right now. I am not seeing it that way. Sometimes we take things in the wrong context and interperet things the way we want to and not how they were intended. Again in the same thought as not understanding what the other person was saying. But I think we all have trouble with that at times. We are ourselves and not the other person

Brian, I am not putting you down for anything you are attempting to do in your life. You stated in a message that AA was very God oriented. I was just saying that in the AA book and Al-Anon book that is states, God as you believe in him." It is not christian, judo, athiest, eastern religion.... just however you believe in a higher spirit. Which I believe includes all religions. As for any oth

hi Brian, just wanted you to know that I am not struggling with any religious issues. I do notice that there are people here that seem guite spiritual. though this can be contstrued in different ways. As in the AA program and the Al-Anon programs, the concept is actually only that you believe in a higher power, whatever that may be to the individual. These programs actually embrace all religion

Hi, Yes, I can agree with you on the small amount of calories eaten in a day. I am a lot like you. Although sometimes I may hit as high as 800 calories a day. But anymore than that, and I too start to gain weight. I am very active during the day,but that doesn't seem to matter. I have looked at many different calorie counters and still come up with around the same amounts every time. I could not

thanks for the juice formula. Also sounds good. I do drink a lot of carrot juice now. will add the rest to it. I was reading outside when I could see the words without my glasses. The sunlight does help a lot. Inside I can see the pc screen words with a light on top of it. I made sure to rest my eyes between times too.

Working still on the Bates method. Doing my palming and working on the "black". I am now at the point where I can read my Bates book without my glasses. The words are still a little blurry, but I can make them out. A couple weeks ago I couldn't read them at all.The page was one big blur. The fact that I still need my glasses at work may be slowing me down a bit, But I am very optim

Hi, I've read all you wrote. Maybe I just don't get it. Very seldom do I ever go over around 800 calories a day. And I am not thin either. Nor am I overweight by more than about ten or fifteen pounds. I just can't seem to eat more than that a day. I am now about 90% raw. I have tried to push myself to the 1000 calorie limit, but find that I feel too full to do anything even if I stretch it out th

hi, just got my book a couple days ago.I've just started reading it. I tried the palming. I do see mostly black but also some color. I also just picked up a sleep mask. All black. There is some light in my room at night and I wanted to cut it all out. It said your eyes relax the most in complete blackness. Will keep you posted. samhein

Ju, I have had the "move" problem all my life. Now with going raw, I drink a LOT of water. Noticed I "go" at least twice a day now. But I noticed if I eat nuts, I get blocked again. so I delete the nuts for a while and hit the fruits;for ex. plums, peaches, nectrines, kiwi, star fruit. I may do this for a day or two. Right back on schedule, so to speak, again. Happy eating!

hi. I feel raw eating is deinitely the way to go. I was also only a few pounds away from 200 some time ago. I was a vegetarian off and on for years. Then about 20 years ago I had had enough of the weight. Could hardly walk anymore. Finally stuck to the veggie diet. I lost a lot of weight but noticed I was having a lot of stomach problems. I became a veggie junk food eater. Now for a mont

Yes, I would definitly try the organic makeups. They don't have the heaviness that the others do. And of course none of the preservatives and tons of chemicals. These are the things that make it so heavy feeling. When I wear the physicians formula, it feels like I don't even have it on. Also, they have the powder foundations too. But summer is coming and being outside, you skin can get a litt

hi, yes I use the physicians formula brand. I really love it. Not sticky, but acvtually a little dry. And very easy to get off too. No face breakouts and has a pleasant scent. How's that? I only use organic make-ups and face cleaners. Plus bath products I recently received an email stating which "natural" products actually contain a by product of gasoline. If I can find it, I will post

I think any kind of oral contraceptive is against all nature was meant to be. I was on the pill (too many years ago to say) and they affected my eyes. I now live my life with permanent blinds spots. I see well with two eyes. But when I close one, half of what I see out of the other is black. It affected both my eyes that way. Anyway, if you listen to these drugs on the television and hear the si

ok I have read all said. I may need to clarify a bit though. Yes, it is a very emotional time for me right now, so yes, I am having trouble meditating like I am used to doing. It used to be very restful for me. I have been into trancendental meditation for over 35 years. Plus it was recommended that I exercise when I get home from work. My hours are typically 3-11. I get home about 11:30 at

hi, haven't posted for a while. I don't know if I have a problem with hyperactivity or what. I seem to be restless all the time. At work, I am just go..go..go. I can't even sit down to do the paper work that needs to be done at the end of the day. My job is very active to begin with. I am on my feet most of the day. I work a lot of second shifts and when I get home I am awake for hours yet, e

Thanks for the ideas. I have found that dates are really good, but give me a stomach ache. I've had problems for years with my stomach. Started with a lot of emotional stress during a really bad time of my life. I like raisens and figs. Do you find they give you a lot of "wind" though? (guess you can ask anything here) there are still a lot of foods that mess with my stomach. It always
