Hi ellington, I'm not a specialist, but I struggled with fungal skin infections in the past, and from my own experimentations and observations, here's what I learned: Does your friend eat dairy? Cut out all food containing milk in some form for two months. In my experience, milk is #1 cause in many skin issues. Does he eat sugar and grains? Fungi love sugar and acidic environments. Avoi

Hey all, just wanted to let you know that everything's back to normal now! :-) My appetite is back and I eat more greens than before now. I don't know if it was detox or a flu, or an emotional issue... but it's gone now :-) Thank you very much to all posters for your kind support :-) I wish you a wonderful day!

> Question is that I've read several accounts of > people going raw and more or less effortlessly > losing weight over time. So, is this simply > because they have reduced their calorie > consumption by eating raw? Or is there more to it > than that? I believe it's much more than just calorie reduction. But I have no explanation :-) I'm one of those losing a lot of w

Thank you all for your replies. :-) I thought it could be hypoglycemia at first because the symptoms matched. But now I got new symptoms that don't fit in. I got a gingivitis and one of my tonsils is swollen big time (only the right one). I'm having unjustified sore muscles on my entire body, still a terrible permanent headache, and I'm thirsty all the time. I drink one bottle of water after t

Thanks for your reply David :-) I have no eating disorder, as for my weight, I'm overweight and losing weight very fast since I went raw. I don't feel like taking a break from food because I feel really bad when I don't eat. On cooked foods I had problems with my sugar metabolism, I often had hypoglycemia and could not eat carbs without crashing if I didn't eat them very regularly. That's

Hi all :-) I've lost my appetite recently. I just don't feel like eating, even when I'm being hungry. No food really appeals to me. I often just forget to eat. I often feel weak and lack motivation, then I remember that I haven't eaten enough. If I then eat lots of fruit, my motivation and energy come back - but not for long, and I have to forcefully push the food into myself, because I r

I've read in Green for Life by Victoria Boutenko that green leafy vegetables contain plenty of protein. Maybe you could eat a lot of them if you don't like nuts.

Hi! I'm a noob too, but I do know that greens (green leafy vegetables) contain lots of protein. You can read about it in Green for Life by Victoria Boutenko :-) I guess there are too in nuts & seeds.

Hey all, thank you so much for your kind and reassuring words and the interesting thought food It makes sense to me. It was a big dietary change, so maybe my body needed to adapt. It's also true that after over ten years of very bad health, I guess my body has a lot of healing work to do, now! And I also lost weight very fast (about 13lbs in the first 3 weeks). All this could be an explanatio

Thanks for your reply arugula :-) My body fat is certainly not too low. I'm about 15kg / 33lbs overweight and have lots of fat everywhere ;-) I don't know if I'm not eating enough. I just eat every time I'm hungry till I'm not hungry anymore. I eat lots of greens, some fruit, and very little nuts and seeds, but I still use oil for my dressings. I don't feel that I'm starving, really not. I

Hello everybody, I'm brand new here :-) I've been raw for about five weeks now (and I just crashed terribly after trying to have a fixed cheat day... but I'll stand up and keep going, no problem). Since I've gone raw, my period's missing. I'm not pregnant, and normally my cycle's regular. Did someone here experience this too? I'm very happy I found this community. I wish you all a wonde
