Yea thats the guy that kind of ... drove the raw diet home for me to try... I've never been a fruit eater. I've always preferred breads and starches. He's a runner though, which runners don't really build that much mass, they just burn allot of energy, after a point their maxed out on muscle mass and nothing is built but only maintained. Thats kind of where i'm at too (plus i have the same

Workoutman i'm glad you spoke your mind on this meal plan. I've been trying CaCao Powder because somewhere I read it was a with tons of antioxidants. Was a very good raw "superfood" I agree I probably need more carbs and veggies. What I'm trying to do is make it raw compact and simple, and indeed "fast". But not unhealthy.

Well i'm an athlete, have super high metabolism - and explosive energy bursts - and I must say since going raw, and only paying attention to calories and protien (in order to not loose weight) I have totally neglected carbs. I guess being a normal american I'm used to being able to get plenty of carbs no matter what I do due to the processed foods. But frankly, I have been feeling rather low

ok i gotta try soaking oats... I guess i'll just post this here... How do you avoid food poisoning? This is what happened 2 days ago or about: I went out to buy "raw" brazil nuts in a sort of panic becuase I noticed I was loosing weight and I thought it was because of my diet and wasn't getting enough cals or somthing... Then when I got home I realised all "raw" nut

I believe so raw angel ... I ate like a cup or so of "raw" nuts and then some "baked salted nuts" One or both of these gave me some kind of food poisoning. My body rejected and rebelled against them. I think nuts are out of the picture for me.

that formula seems to confirm what i've been hearing all along about 50 + grams. More for people who are active... I think i'm going to depend on shelled hemp seeds and unpasturized fruit juice for now. Seems to take care of the problem for the most part. Expensive but easy and effective. 1 shake for example: Odwalla superfood 1 cup = 130 Cal 1 g protien Manitoba Harvest Hemp Seed N

Hemp Milk is sold in the local central market in a cardboard container in the non-refrigerated section. This means most likely that is pasturized correct? I mean is hemp milk pasturized? =?

I do have hemp seeds. I guess I kind of panicked because i seem to have dropped weight. I forgot about hemp seeds. 2 tbsp being 160 cals with 10 grams of protien is almost too good to believe... I've never watched my diet (or liveit as one man calls it) closely. I've simply focused on "protien" like the SAD doctrine or cultural rap does. I guess i'm gonna have to get off nuts com

I have just failed to assume a 100% raw diet after attempting to do for 1 week. 1) I realized all raw nuts have already been pasteurized (not just almonds) and I have been depending on those for the past week. (This also eliminates the option of sprouting them.) Thus I've not actually assumed a 100% raw diet. 2) Any attempt to sprout beans has failed resulting in a load of rancid garbanzo

So the "raw" shelled nuts in grocery stores are actually cooked... So if they are are then there is no need to soak them to remove enzyme inhibitors right? Because they are no different from baked nuts?

OK i just read this article: And basically found out that raw nuts are impossible to get unless in shells. But if they are in shells one has to de-shell them to eat them. Are they not then Unsproutable anyway? Theoretically one would have to sprout the in-shell nut and then unshell them before eating - correct?

Hello everyone, I've recently just gone 100% raw, this is week two (and my first post here on the board). I feel much cleaner, and have more energy. I just have one problem: Finding a source of Raw nuts to sprout. I'm going to need the food supplement of raw nuts in my diet - in order to meet my caloric and protein demands. The only problem is I cannot find a source of truly RAW nuts!
