I was curious so I checked out some of Roger's vids on youtube. He seems like a good guy who's pretty real, especially when he's around his son.

Even if cooked food did help our brains grow thousands of years ago, something tells me that in the modern world our brains continue to develop as a result of things like computers, schools, science, books, etc. and that cooked food was phased out of the process a long time ago. It's almost as if he's suggesting that cooked food is the missing link much like Terence McKenna says that psylocybin m

I don't know anything about the B12 question but that's an excellent point about bugs and their attraction to fermented foods.

Mucus is something that the body creates in order to protect itself against harmful things that you put into it. For example, smokers develop a lot of mucus in the lungs to protect themselves against the smoke. As a result, when a person quits smoking they inevitably yak up a lot of mucus because the body doesn't need it anymore. Here's a good thread on mucus from another site:

Here's a link to their nutrition "facts" and ingredients. There's definitely better stuff out there. If you crave something raw and fermented I'd go with making your own. There are a ton of vids on youtube with instructions on how to make sauerkraut and ferment anything. A guy named Sandor Katz is big on spreading the fermentation word. It's ridiculously easy and does have its benefits.

They have some high fructose corn syrup or whatever that stuff is called. I wouldn't eat them. If you're craving store bought pickles, I'm pretty sure that you can find a brand with less garbage in it. Try Full Circle or make your own.

It's not irrelevant if I aspire to keep the discussion on fruit. Personally, I find it offensive and not particularly peaceful when women objectify men on this board, just as I would expect women to feel the same way if men behaved in a similar manner. Okay, so there's a raw foodist in Israel, what does your personal opinion of his attractiveness have to do with someone looking for info about the

I agree with all of the above. You have to find the raw menu that's right for you. I could be 100% raw and eat nothing but pineapple and grapefruit, but that combination would not make for a happy digestive system. I've also found that adjusting more than my diet is necessary. When I'm successful, here are a few things that I do beyond diet: -stay on a schedule -get plenty of sleep -rise w

If that's what works for you then it's fine. I start the day with 6 bananas. Sorry Paul, but that's just the way I roll! Love your work nonetheless, homey.

The day is still early, but I got up at 5 am and went to the gym. By 7:00 am I had run 4.5 miles on a treadmill (high paced with inclines), shot baskets (I take 200 shots every day), and lifted weights (free weights for toning not bulk). I've eaten 5 bananas, had 3 glasses of water, and 2/3 of a blender carafe of green smoothie. On my lunch break, I'll skateboard for 45 minutes, probably eat a co

No. I don't need the temptation or hassle at this point in my life. My wife came to me as a vegan and that's the way it needs to be. If I was 20 and still falling in "love" with every other woman I saw walking down the street, why not? But at 41, I need someone who understands where I'm coming from and who can share my diet with me.

Well! Color me humiliated at the smiting hands of...what's your name again?..Kwan! No, you're the one who's being judgmental. But hey, we're all judgmental, right? Come on, you know you are. Just admit it. I'm sure that if you really work that brain you can unearth a judgmental weak spot or two in your well meaning, yet infinitely flawed soul, don't you think? When I said "not cool,&q

I just went through a horrible personal/dietary phase where I not only went way off the raw path but also took antibiotics and drank a lot of bourbon. What was I thinking? I became a completely different person. I'm back to raw for a couple days now, but I'm wondering if anyone can provide tips on specific fruits and veggies to eat and avoid so that my system will heal as fast as possible. Should

Interesting quote from Mat Gleason, L.A. art critic and friend of Charles Bukowski: "The present trajectory is so clogged with poseurs and careerists that it is too difficult to tell who is an artist. Oh, I forgot, everyone is an artist. Then why bother? Oh, because YOU are an artist. Perhaps everyone is a narcissist. Worst are artists with arts-related positions in education and arts

Thanks for posting the movie. It's nothing new to me, but it's always good to question our institutions. America's official story on 9/11 is probably the most wacky, irrational conspiracy theory ever fabricated by anyone, let alone a corrupt government. Have you ever seen the movie Century of Self? It's all over youtube. It's a BBC documentary that shows how Freudian psychoanalysis is used to man
