I like celery, banana, and dates. Or berries, parsley, and bananas. Or the juice of 2 grapefruits, romaine, and banana.

What a lovely and inspirational post! I so wish I could get my family to go raw. I got my husband to do it for 3 wks(that was really an accomplishment). My 2 yr old eats mostly raw(fortunately he likes what he sees me eating), my 10 and 9 yr old are works in progress. I just try to introduce as much raw into each meal (they all love fruits and green smoothies) I'm going to keep on trying though,

Green smoothies and green tea helped me kick the coffee habit. I'd drink a green smoothie every morning whilst transitioning and in the afternoon I'd drink green tea. Although I didn't drink coffee everyday...and when I did drink it, it was only 1 or 2 cups.

Are you soaking them before eating? The only fruits I can eat dry is figs (which I soak) and dates which I don't always.

Sounds like your friend might have candida issues. I used to get canker when I ate alot of fruit before going raw. It seem the fruit would just put bring the candida to the surface. Once I cleansed myself from the yeast, and went raw, I no longer have any issues. Now I ate mostly fruits and greens.

Yes, definitely noticed this too. It's helped keep me far away from anything that is not a natural sugar ..I've licked my finger preparing food for others and the cloying sickening sweet was just too much.

Yes, I've been hearing/reading a lot on this. It makes me sick. It's time for us to take control of our food. Starting by growing it ourselves. These corporations are determined to rule EVERYTHING.

That goes to show it never hurts to ask. Also, I know it's easier said then done, but don't worry about what those coworkers say or think, you are doing what's best for YOUR body and health. Just shrug off their comments, they probably wish the had your conscious self control.

Do you have issues with digesting fats? If not, maybe avocado. What about pineapple, since it contains bromelain (sp) that might be easily digested. Other then that I don't know, you've gotten some good suggestions so far. Oh, what about raw organic apple cider vinegar, a small amount diluted in water before a meal.

salmap, I would avoid beans if I were you, you don't need to have them in your diet. I've always had issues digesting them, even when I ate cooked. The only sprouted bean I can tolerate is mung..so that's what I eat. I hope you can figure out what works best for you.

You probably aren't going to crave any thing any more, since it sounds like the yeast cleanse was very effective. Just eat when you are hungry, eat what looks good, smells fresh, and is most nutritious. What about smoothies? Have you been drinking those? Green smoothies can be made not too sweet.

I enjoyed this article as well, for clarification and confirmation. I could tell that eating a lot of nuts(fats) did not sit well with my body. I tend to follow the Ayurvedic lifestyle(I eat according to my dosha (Pitta)). So I am supposed to avoid most nuts, the ones that are recommended that I eat are the ones that my body assimilates well(coconut, pumpkin, and sunflower seeds, are what I eat whe

Is it organic? If not, it could be the pesticides. My step son gets this same reaction if he eats non organic kale.

Are you eating a lot of acidic fruits? They could be the culprit. What do you put on your salads? Vinegar? Lemons? You might want to examine your diet even closer. Something you are eating is most likely causing your reaction. Hopefully you can figure it out. The best to you

I lightly steam broc, zucchini, green beans..ect for my boys and give them a choice of a healthy dip on the side. They will eat salad, slaws, carrot sticks, celery sticks, anything if I make a good dip or dressing on the side. So my advice would be to serve with hummus, tahini, homemade ranch, salsa, any kind of healthy dip you can think of. I also also agree with the previous poster, include them in

Lime oil is a great disinfectant, I use it for bathrooms, diaper pail and areas where hands touch frequently. Lemon is good also, I like it for kitchen. The list you have are all great choices, I keep all of those on hand.

Do you have a sensitivity to grains? It might be the wheat grass causing your break outs. I've read numerous articles and studies linking grains to causing acne and many other health issues.

I brush with a home made tooth powder; baking soda, activated charcoal, myrrh powder, a little cinnamon(for sensitivity) and I just bought some white oak bark that I'll be adding to the mix. I've been using this for over 6 months and it has improved the state of my mouth and teeth a lot. I also (strangely, imo) get compliments on the whiteness of my teeth since I've been using this.

Isn't the flesh supposed to be white? I bought one from the Co-op and it sat in the fridge a couple days,by the time I opened it the water was tinted, and the flesh was a mauve color. I tasted it and it seemed fine, I couldn't bring my self to just drink the water and eat the flesh with a spoon, so I put it in a smoothie. After examining the outer shell closely I did noticed a tiny green patc
