I don't know about the US, but virtually all oats sold in the UK are not raw - try and sprout them and they won't sprout. rawliving.eu is the only company over here selling raw oats. I would imagine that it would be similar in the USA, you will have to get them from a company specifically saying that they are raw. The reason they heat treat them is because raw oats have a relatively short s

I like to soak my chia seeds and then blend them with a bit more water which makes a delicious milk (without needing to strain). Here's a chia cream I made: 3 tablespoons chia seeds soaked in 200ml water for 20 minutes or so Then add the gel to a blender (I'm using a Vitamix) with 100ml water 5 fresh dates 5 tablespoons lucuma powder 1 tablespoon mesquite 1/4 tsp vanilla dash rei

You are right, it seems the forum is not case sensitive when it comes to usernames. As there doesn't seem to be a way of deleting your own account you have the difficult task of getting through to the admin, which I understand can be difficult. Try using the contact form here: Rob

I think you're looking at it the wrong way round. It's probably some of the foods that you are eating that are causing the bad mood. Try cutting out all cooked fats and see if that helps. Rob

Debbie, this topic was discussed on this board, maybe 6 months ago, someone posted similar information that suggested that in most of the UK there wouldn't be enough sunlight for us to make vit D in the winter. You could maybe search this forum for it? Rob

Greeen peppers and green chillis are unripe, so in my opinion shouldn't be eaten. Red/yellow/orange peppers taste better anyway! Rob

There is no difference. Wolfberry is the English word, Goji is a transliteration of the Chinese gǒuqǐ. They both relate to two very similar species Lycium barbarum and Lycium chinense, some say that wolfberry is one of them and goji is the other but that is not the case. Rob

Cron-o-meter is an open source Java based program that does this. There are only mac, windows and linux versions listed to download, but if you have some technical knowledge you might be able to get it to run on an iphone. Rob

Yep, I peel it first and just use the fleshy gel. The skin is edible but is a laxative so I wouldn't recommend it. Rob

I was told that when seaweed is certified organic it means that it has been tested to the same standards as organic produce - so it can be collected wild in the sea and they test it for contamination and if it passes it can be labelled organic. Rob

I bought one, but I've not been able to attach it to my tap, in my previous house or this one - I'm in the UK and I think the fittings are different to in the USA (where the filter is made I think) Rob

I've been using he shou wu quite a bit. I don't use it raw though - I have he shou wu which has been cooked with black beans, it's supposedly the most potent form. I find it very powerful, if I take more than a little bit it can be too much. I wrote a little bit about my experience with he shou wu on my blog here: Rob

Yeah, the raw police used to be a real problem around here, but David Zane Mason sorted that "problem" out and they don't show up any more. (Don't ask what he did to them.) Rob

My guess is that the problem is caused by the oranges not being completely ripe and possibly picked a long time before they are ripe. Only eat oranges when they are in season near you (at least in your hemisphere.) Choose oranges that are orange! (As in not green and not a pale colour, as deep orange as possible.) Rob
