it doesn't matter! if i mix or eat them alone or on a full or empty stomach, the same problem always happens. its worse with the sweeter fruits. coconut is probably the only fruit that doesn't cause me these problems.

has anyone else been experiencing this? but as soon as i eat any kind of fruit, my stomach starts to bubble from inside, it bloats, and i need to pass gas. when i first tried out raw last year, i didn't have this problem. but now, when i'm going back to it, my stomach hasn't been able to tolerate much of it. i heard that i may have some mucous buildup thats reacting and causing the fruit to fe

hey everyone,
ever since last november, i noticed my nails have become really weak. also, they're some major pitting going on. is there anything you can recommmend to cure them?? i thought it was protein, but thats definitely not the problem. i eat enough fat. honestly, i'm pretty lost about how to go fixing them up.
any advice would be appreciated!

i don't know if this is vegan or not, but BIOTIN is amazing. helped me out big time when i lost hair when i first went vegetarian. also, make sure you're getting enough vitamin E, fats (flaxseed oil helped me), and raw yoghurt.
i think also eating more greens than fruits would help out too. anyways, hope everything works out for you soon! keep up posted and congrats so far on your amazin

hahaha. i really liked your story. although, i have to admit, i can't stand the smell, let alone the taste of durian! really thought i was going to vomit. but i heard the "cleaner" one becomes, the more appealing the fruit becomes? who knows. as of now, i'll be staying far far away from that fruit until my memory starts to fade so i can give it another try. lol

hey veloria!
i hear you about not feeling full. i used to have that when i first started out raw. i'm not totally 100% but i've been on and off for awhile now. i just want to tell you that the feeling will eventually go away and you'll start becoming full on "light" foods. but to help you adjust to not feeling full, bananas, avocados, dates, carrots, apples, and nuts will definit

Hi everyone,
i just want to bring this issue to everyone's attention, especially since raw foodists are more vulnerable. Almost a week ago I ate about two handfuls of dried goji berrries I found at a market and got sick that night. I was experiencing major nausea, diarrhea, headaches, major weakness (sleeping 20 hrs/day), stomach cramps and bloating (intestines/stomach completely inflamed) f

hi everyone,
the other day i bought goji berries and ate about 2 ounces of them throughout the day. i think they must have been really strong or something cause my stomach has been having major "turbulence" ever since! for the last day and a half, i haven't been able to go anywhere without there being a bathroom nearby! i've also been having some sharp stomach pains.

thanks for your advice everyone!!
makes a lot of sense. when i was on SAD, i was vegan and eating like 50% raw without even realizing it. so, i think thats why i can't handle those overly fatty gourmet raw meals so early on in my raw journey, cause they're targetted more for those hardcore SADers transitioning, like you were all suggesting. funny thing is that avocados don't have such a bad

hi everyone!
i've been 90% raw for almost two weeks now and i've been having the following observations. everytime i try to make a gourmet raw meal (i.e.alissa cohen type) like imitation pesto or dessert fruit tarts, i feel SO sick afterwards. like i am nauseated and i want to vomit. i also feel wayyyy too full although i really didn't eat too much. overall, i feel horrible not to mention
