Thank you everyone! RawPracticalist: I figured that one last night. Except I am a sandwich generation, you see. Told my DH: how about you take the rest of the family somewhere then I can have a silent retreat at home.

Fellow rawfooders: I am burned out. Need a quiet place to restore for a few days at the beginning of March. Raw food, juice and being surrounded by nature with walking trails is a must. 4. looking for a low-key raw retreat

Can anyone offer/recommend a place to stay where raw meals and juices are readily available, but otherwise one is left alone? I am not interested in programs, classes, crowds etc. I do not mind helping in the kitchen, but I would like not to have to shop and plan meals. If this is in the area where one can go hiking in the mountains that's a big plus.

6. Water filter?

I used to buy bottled water to drink, but I can frequently taste plastic from the bottles; wallet and consciousness (no recycling in Moble, AL) prevent me from buying water in glass. Any advise on what kind of water filter should I buy? My priorities are first, the quality of water and second, ease of maintenance (will I have to change the filter every day?) Alena
