Joel Fuhrman, MD in his book, "Fasting And Eating For Health"n says, As soon as a person is diagnosed with lupus, he or she should immediately begin a medically supervised fast to initiate a remission. Breaking the fast carefully under proper guidance is extremely important. Upon completion of the fast the following foods should be avoided for a prolonged period of time: 1. All a

Limit nuts to 1 ounce a day. This should be the healthier nuts like walnuts, almonds or possibly pecans . I was 205 pounds last January but down to 170 in August and am still 170 now in November. However, if I eat more nuts than normal I will start to put on weight even though the rest of my diet is mostly raw fruit and salad with zero processed foods and zero animal foods.

Excuse me but who says you have to be raw 100% of the time. Any program that is overly strict is unreasonable. You need a little flexibility. It is OK to deviate occasionally. I recently read Eat To Live by Dr. Fuhrman and am now reading 2 of his other books. He says no processed foods and no ice cream but he also says that IF you want ice cream once in a while as a rare exception go out and h

All I can say is that since June I have greatly increased my consumption of raw fruits and vegetables and the effect it has had on me personally is that I feel up most of the time. I feel healthy and I feel good and happy to be alive and I'm not going to let anyone rain on my parade or burst my bubble or take the wind out of my sails.

You don't need any equipment. Just the raw foods themselves. Dr. Fuhrman recommends eating the whole food rather than only the juice. That way you get it as nature intended with all the fiber. The important thing is to eat a minimum of 5 fruits a day and at least one huge green salad. Eliminate all processed foods. Frozen fruits are fine as well. I highly recommend Dr. Fuhrman's books Eat To Live

As Bryan said, I too recommend Eat To Live and Eat For Health by Joel Fuhrman, MD It is a 2 book set and is designed to introduce one to vegan eating of mostly raw foods in 4 phases. It gives the option of going all the way or stopping at whatever point the individual chooses. Anyway I purchased it at Amazon and highly recommend it. Recipes are included.

Your body is telling you to fast . Depending on your physical condition that may or may not be possible. I am presently reading Dr. Fuhrman's book, Fasting And Eating For Health. Of course most doctors will not accept this as a viable treatment. Fasting for more than a few days should be done under a doctor's supervision so that blood pressure and electrolyte levels can be monitored. Blood te
