Hello folks. It's been years since I've visited this site. But I saw this article and I immediately thought about you all. She researched holistic remedies and settled on a vegan raw diet. Pretty cool!

I have no opinion on this, but I'm glad to see that cool heads prevailed and that a sensible discussion has taken place. This is the kind of topic where someone could have easily lost control and ridiculed people for asking the question.

I guess I am late to the party. I would like to have seen this banned person explain diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and all the other health ailments out there and why people are getting them and why first world nations are so sick. For the first time, the average age of an American has declined. That was news about a year and a half ago. Why is it declining? I'll let you decide. People are

I have written a book about minerals but I have never started any threads with one of my chapters before or anything like that. Instead, I'll use whatever I learned from the research I used to write my book in a casual fashion to help others.

There are a lot of minerals that not normally found in soils, or they are in such extremely small quantities that they can go undetected by modern detection methods. This means that many minerals will not show up in plants. Indium is one of these minerals. Although some people estimate that indium is about as plentiful as silver, most believe that it is a very rare element that is found in ex

First of all, don't go by FDA regulations. When they measured these years ago, they were using calcium carbonate as their source of calcium. Well guess what? Calcium carbonate is not the form of calcium that is found in plants. The calcium that is found in plants is in the only form that your body can really use. And plants cannot grow without calcium, as well as many other minerals. So all plant

I have never met a raw foodist who counts calories. Instead, I usually ask myself: Have I had enough greens this week? Did I get enough fats/oils this week? Raw food is more about rebuilding your body, regenerating cells, overcoming and preventing sickness, and overall feeling and looking better, than it is about calories.

Good points. Take things in steps. When people venture out into the world of raw food, expense and convenience are primary concerns. Let people know that eating conventional is OK. I'd say that about 80% of my raw food is conventional. I simply don't have the income to afford all organic.

If you have diabetes, you would have experienced the symptoms before eating raw. Just because you went raw and started eating a lot of fruit, then started urinating, I don't think means that you suddenly have the disease.

I first started on the raw path in 2001, and I've eaten hundreds of these young coconuts. After experimenting with as many variables as you can think of, I am still not sure that there is a perfect way to select which YC will be ripe and full of water and a thick layer of white meat. Nowadays, I tend to buy whichever YC is heaviest for its weight. I've left really big ones alone and picked up

I don't remember where I learned this recipe, but try it: In a blender, mix some fresh apple juice with some frozen strawberries. You'd be surprised. It's very good.

I've converted a lot of VHS tapes to DVD. I push "play" in my VCR and "record" in my DVd recorder. You will need both machines, obviously. An alternative would be to take them to a local audio/video place that does this sort of thing. However, plan to spend around $50 per tape. Might as well just buy your own. I got mine brand new on Ebay for $45 and I've been happy.

Ok I finally put something together and I'm darn proud of what I came up with! I made some almond milk the other day, and I had all that extra crunched almond left over and I wonder what I could do with it instead of throwing it away. So I spread it out and put it inside my dehydrator for a day, along with some buckwheat groats. I then took it out and pasted it with agave nectar to make it a s

They are optional. I like them. I think they are good to take on occasion, but you won't need them EVERY DAY if you are high raw. Some of them would be good to take because they are either not found in plants or are found but not in very high amounts, like cobalt, gold, silver, chromium, germanium, iodine, manganese, molybdenum, selenium, and vanadium. You might consider taking these a few ti

If you are deficient in iron, then you're deficient in probably quite a few other minerals. Your body is probably lacking in vitamin C, cobalt, iodine, manganese, calcium, and copper, all of which close relations with iron and assist in regulating the transport and absorption of iron. You need to eat a lot of raw food. I recommend eating a huge variety of plants, such as greens, lots of fruit

I first started eating raw almost 6 years ago, and I've had hundreds of young coconuts and days where I've had 2 or 3. And I've never had a problem. Potassium is found in all fruits and vegetables, and the form that the potassium is in when it is in plants is a water soluble form that our body can eliminate very easily if we are ingesting more than it needs. I'm saying that the potassium that
