Last year I made some kombucha and added blackberries from my yard for a 2nd fermentation (in the bottle). What I was making was a kombucha bomb with blackberry coloring! When I opened the bottle, it was like a rocket going off, it hit me in the face, and my walls and ceiling were instantly stained with blackberry juice. It was hilarious and I wish it was captured on film. I will probably not

I was making it for quite a while, but although they say the scoby consumes the sugar, I was nervous at the amount needed. That being said, I was at a street fair the other day, and purchased a White Rose bottled kombucha, and it really hit the spot! I have gone back and forth about this topic, same as you.

The title of that article is pretty misleading, a bit of a slant there. Also, some of the author's replies to comments are not so great. Who knows what is really going on - it is quite fascinating to watch the developments in this

I was referring to the model w/built in timer from Excalibur. So far, I have not had the need for a timer at all however it could be useful to have an external timer that would work with other devices also. banana who Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The timer was mentioned as a handy gadget > so I will review that aspect. > >

I'm a recent owner, so can only comment on that. Been about 3 week now. I use it often, mostly to make crackers/bread. I LOVE IT!! I bought it to make snacks for myself that are healthy, and to combat craving. Making flax crackers is so much fun - I've not followed a recipe - I just use all kinds of different spices. It's nice to reuse carrot pulp - adds a nice orange texture. It is helping me f

I made a big batch of stinging nettle tincture recently. I have a recurring gout problem, and I am now taking this daily. I'm interested in seeing how it works as a preventative.

Prism has a good point. When you hang around with drinkers, it seems like the whole world is constantly drinking - this is not true! When I stopped going to pubs, I realized that a lot of my "friends" were really just folks who were looking for someone to drink with. It kinda hurt when I realized that but there is a whole other world out there to be enjoyed.

I don't drink anymore and don't feel like I owe anyone an explanation. If asked I just tell people that I used to drink but I retired. What's wrong with what you told us - you basically have an allergic reaction. Not everyone is meant to drink - I know my life is much better without it. It would seem that nowadays people realize that alcohol can be a problem for some folks. Just go for it - do wh

Prism - sorry to derail thread but which gout uric acid crystal tincture do you refer to? To the OP, I have used the Arise and Shine cleansing program with good results.

I bought myself the spirooli for Xmas and it arrived last week. I have used it EVERYDAY since. I have pretty much settled on the most spaghetti like blade as my favorite. I have made zucchini and yam noodles so far. Orange noodles!! Very satisfying on many levels. You can feel like you just ate a giant bowl of pasta, and in reality it was 2 zucchinis. The texture is incredible. I love this thing!
