I can never find fresh coconut, even at the best health food stores. I have a mold sensitivity. Before I went vegan, I had longterm health issues n veganism has helped me be on my way to recovery. Anyway, I have a mold sensitivity, so I cant eat dried fruit, so dried coconut, I cannot eat. Would canned coconut milk be a good decision, with guar gum? I know it's not raw, but there aren't many opti

Interesting. Especially since its a soil bacteria, there's no need to have to eat an animal to get b12, I agree. Or vitamin d that is produced from the sun. And its true that animals are fed all sorts of supplements, and they get their other vitamins from the plants they eat. I think there's much confuaion about proper levels needed because modern american food is so often fortified and enriched

Why does everyone put yeast in bread, and why do people seem to think its required? I went without eating any for like a year, started eating it again several months ago because I eat bread sometimes. I stopped eating it BC I have longterm health issues and read how certain kinds can cause serious health problems and even death. Some people say eating yeast will not exacerbate any health problems

What is your view on b12? Vegans can get it from some plants such as certain seaweeds, ive read. Main source that meateaters get it from appears to be manure. Especially since meat is always so full of fecal matter. Do you really trust all of the studies about it, or do you think theyre mostly done on meat eaters, with assumption that meat is needed, relying on their levels for what is "corr

I've seen some raw vegan sites about soaking millet overnite. This completely safe? Also, its probably been thru heat already? Eden organics brand of yellow millet.

So I mostly eat iceberg lettuce as a fave, n sometimes turnip greens, collard greens, romaine... sometimes other kinds but my fave is iceberg n I probably adhere to eating that too much. What's the best kind, that's also low oxalate? Spinach can be toxic in high amts so I stopped eating it, bc such high oxalates. Also has to be cheap. This is about like, the leafy greens used in salad

I've been vegan since apr. 2012 but raw since only may 2014, so I'm still trying to find out what's best to be eating. N I'm about 90 percent raw currently. The past few days I've been eating half spoon black seed oil, a few spoons ground flaxseed, some iceberg salad mix with carrots n cabbage in food for life corn tortillas, ginger root, watermelon, bananas, sesame tahini, baked potatoes (so add

I have been vegan since april 2012, n I've never been obsessed with weight but I have heart problems n have that extra fat around my abdomen. Not really anywhere else, but it all has gone around the middle, which is bad for those with heart problems. N I think my diet was really unhealthy compared to now, eating chemical laced food, medications. So what gets stored in old, extra fat?

So after someone goes vegan after a few yrs, n they still have body fat that's been there a while, is it likely unhealthier fat bc of meateating? Will it be releasing unhealthy stuff in the body?

Wondering about people who've eaten raw vegan their entire lives. Obviously people new to it may not know exactly what to eat. Especially if someone ate junkfood the majority of their life.

Lol @ some of this. Becoming strictly fruitarian sounds like the worst of ideas. I have been vegan since april 2012, n just became raw vegan in may of this yr. But it is a really difficult diet, to be almost completely raw. I intend on staying on it, but I am going to have to go from 99 percent to maybe 80 percent. I've had many health changes for the better though, since going vegan, and more si

I bought some fisher raw peanuts from walmart. The package says raw peanuts must be cooked though. Instructions I saw on a site said 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. What is a temperature that would be the lowest possible n be thoroughly cooked?

Not for sure, but wouldn't apple cider vinegar be bad to use to kill mold since vinegar is made by fermentation? It'd be like taking one mold n introducing something else, or would it?

Have been wondering about this. I can't find a ton of info, but some eat fresh seeds from pumpkins n squash instead of buying older seeds at the store. I'm sure it makes a difference, but I'm confused about some types of seeds that people warn about eating, then others eat them n say they're fine. Such as apple seeds.does anyone pick their own nuts? doesn't that require a lot of work because of.t

A lot of people who go vegan or raw vegan are past meateaters, UNFORTUNATELY. I definitely wish I never ate meat ever.

Plants can communicate though, even though humans don't speak the same language. Just as animals can. Have been reading some lately about how they have defenses against those who eat them.

this photo is making fun of dying plants. What if they really feel like that? Maybe it seems to matter less because we don't know what they think or feel, but that is the same with reasons people eat animals. Because they don't understand them. We just go around eating whatever, some random thing growing somewhere on the planet. Not knowing what it is at all. It can't say it does not want eaten,

"Missi Devi – 105 year old Centenarian VEGAN. She followed the Jain lifestyle, which respects all animals. Jains follow “Ahimsa” in which they avoid even dairy in order not to inconvenience the cow too much, and try to eat mainly fruits and aim for things which try not to hurt or kill the main stalk of the plant offering the nuts, fruits, or food. Aiming to eat only what it kindly offe

To anyone who checks to make sure they get about 2000 calories a day, how important of a role do you think calories have in your health. N does anyone know if the calorie system was established based on what meateaters eat... since that's the so-called healthy thing to do, n basic food guides often include meat? Anywayz, I have been kinda watching my calories since going raw in may (vegan since a

So I've recently decided to eat coconut, try to everyday, instead of other types of nuts. One reason being freshness n because other nuts are avoided on a mold free diet. So would 1 a day be okay for a 29 yr old female. Is one n half sometimes too much? Is there a maximum? I have to ask, since so many foods can harm a person. Is that a good idea for a food to replace nuts with? That's usually inc

I just recently discovered that pig tapeworm eggs are not always ridded of cooking. N of course, the worms MAY die, but may not. There's the fact that they're still in the meat though, and cooking does not evaporate them or anything like that. Are there any exmeateaters who can offer any opinion about this? Raw vegan is supposed to help with that, but do you think someone just messed their self u

I saw the most ridiculous article earlier. Talking about how some raw vegans do great for months or yrs, then are suddenly ill. n of course the instant reason given is lack of meat, which is totally not true. Completely sick how they said it. Like that the person needed organ meats, butters, and cod liver oil in their diet. Does this really sound like what people should eat? Barf.

What is the shelflife of cantaloupe seeds, in and out of the fridge? And what is the best way to prepare them (not being roasted)? I use my teeth to get the inside of the seed out, since the outside is too hard. Also, I recently found out people can eat watermelon seeds, n I really dislike how most places sell seedless now. What other fruit seeds can be eaten, n which cannot?

when they do lab tests for vitamins, i'd say they probably compare yours to meateaters, since that's believed by a large majority to be the correct diet. So its likely that vitamin levels are going to be different. Keep in mind all medical science is theory. Anyways, i can't remember what I read this on, but b12 is something found in the intestines n dirt or something. N some vitamins are manufac

Besides being disrespectful of other life, what are reasons some vegans go to eating meat again? I've seen this happening some, n it sickens me to think of how I used to eat meat for most of my life. I've gotten tons healthier since stopping n can't imagine eating a poor animal's decomposing corpse again.I've seen excuses people have, like they didn't get enough nutrition, really because they did
