What's a typical day for you? Are you mono-mealing, making salads or doing gourmet dishes for dinner (like courgetti, lasagnas etc)? What's your breakfast? Do you use any superfood powders? Are you 100% raw?

They're always really vague in these 'world's oldest person' stories about what they're actually eating. In the article for Emma Morano, it says she ate 3 eggs daily, and biscuits. But for how long? What else did she eat? I doubt she ate 3 eggs on a daily/regular basis her entire life.

Quotefresh okinawan diet 1950 1.5 percent animal foods 69% sweet potatoes, giving lie to the myth that nutrition is so very difficult and deficiency results without eating superfoods etc Not the thing to say on a raw forum, but I believe steamed sweet potatoes to be an absolute game changer to any diet.

Quotekwan Addendum to what I said directly above: Vegetable-fruits, however, like red pepper and tomato, cucumber and zucchini ( (I think it's a veg-fruit, right?) are my favorites. Absolutely CRAVE them, and they are low glycemic. But they're nothing like the hybridized super-sweet fruits I now avoid: mangoes, pineapple, bananas, etc. Once in awhile I have a few berries (especially strawberr

I need to try this! I'm amazed with the variety of spiralisers that exist that there aren't any that try to cut to more specialise pasta shapes (like macaroni, or maybe little split macaroni tubes if that).

I have spent much of the last decade of my life drinking coffee and caffeinated drinks. If eating raw isn't fun and exciting (i.e. raw gourmet, raw chocolate smoothies, fancy (expensive) salads, kale chips and juices) then my 'down time' when I'm not eating is almost painful. Like, I know what I COULD be eating/drinking. I'm not even sure it's reversible after so many years of caffeine/sugar.

QuoteTai It is mainly greens, which can include wheatgrass. Lou also drinks gorilla milk, which consists of 50 percent green juice. I just googled that gorilla milk stuff (almond milk, coconut meat, coconut water and greens) and the combo sounds so nice! The thing is, I'm not sure I could be bothered with the almond milk part- what could I use instead that would be sweet enough to balance the

Hey guys, I started looking up people I used to read about back when I was really into raw and most of them aren't raw, and some of them I'm not totally convinced are even still vegan. Can anyone recommend any good raw vegan YouTuber's?

Quoteavengine I am new to sprout and try out new thing to learn more about what is the right and wrong. Hi avengine, if you're new to sprouting maybe try sprouting easier sprouts like mung bean, alfalfa and radish. I find the success rate is a lot higher. Also, maybe describe what your process is - what kind of container you use, how often you change the water, are they getting too much/too

I noticed you have used V8 and I'm surprised that didn't give more of a savoury flavour- I was going to suggest juicing carrots, celery and parsley and using that instead of water but I don't think that would be as potent as V8. In gazpacho I've used oregano and coriander before (depending on the recipe)- but I do add a pinch of Himalayan pink salt. Coconut water makes a nice base for soup

Hi guys I'm addicted to banana nice-cream right now- and have some questions regarding nutrition loss... Does the ripeness of the banana this? i.e. if I freeze a starchy banana for 3 days, will the nutrition be different to a frozen spotty banana after the same amount of time? Does the time in the freezer affect this? i.e. a few hours versus overnight or longer? Any opinions welcome

Thanks for the link, I don't think I'm ready for mono-eating yet though (especially when the produce right now isn't brilliant) but will bear it in mind over summer when there's a bigger (and tastier!) range of foods. One of my favourite simple dinner's is romaine lettuce, good quality tomatoes + avocado. Yum!

Hi guys For high nutrient foods, do you think it's better to have the food by itself as a shot (i.e. wheatgrass, chia, acai, spirulina) or okay/better to mix in with other foods in the form of a smoothie or dressing? I can think of pros and cons both sides, though I do lean towards 'throw it in a juice/smoothie' because it's easier (and tastier).

It's okay, Gosia. I think most people understand what is right or wrong here. It's not about YouTube drama or whether or not people like DR or Freelee. It's about being decent. There are lots of scammers in this world. But the day we automatically assume someone asking for money to help them with their cancer treatment is a scam- I think we've failed as people. Yes, people can exploit

Regardless to the boyfriend's character, I'm sure DR can make his point about a subject without directly insulting someone. i.e. talking about scammers = fine. naming someone/assuming they are lying about their sickness on a public platform = not okay

Hiya Prana I do love bananas but still find them a little bit pricey (I also prefer organic which adds to the cost). TBH I think I'm going to have to do raw-till-4 or maybe raw-till-2 depending on my budget, I'm going to see how it goes. In the summer I'll be fine when everything is in season and fruits are abundant, but right now it's a challenge. Also, I'm trying to be a bit more aware of

Just recently I've been using a new mixed green powder (spirulina, chlorella etc) and I'm not sure how much benefit I'm getting from it (other than drinking several pints of water afterwards to wash the taste awa
