"Good Stuff by Mom and Me" is a wonderful value oriented organic raw company that sells small loaves of grain free raw bread made from flax seeds, veggies, fruits, spices and seeds and/or nuts. The loaves come in a variety of flavors. You can find them online and either order online or by telephone. (Their pecan pie cookie bars are simply divine too. ) They soak and sprout all their nu

Try buying some homeopathic Arnica gel by Boiron at your local health food store or your local Whole Foods Market and smear the gel all over the affected area as needed. Taking homeopathic Arnica pellets at the same time ( meaning you are using the gel on the tendon area and ingesting pellets concurrently) really has an affect on decreasing swelling. I have used both the gel and pellets just

I agree with Pam about the cherimoya. A really ripe, super soft, organic, cherimoya has a very vanilla-fruity creamy pudding flavor to me. mmmmmm.... PEACE Choco

My holistic vegetarian OB-GYN recommends women take *Floradix* brand liquid vegetarian iron. It's made from fruits and vegetables and is really, really helpful for energy and fatigue - especially for women who lose a lot of blood during their periods or from childbirth. You can find it at any health food store in the country. It's a very well respected vegetarian supplement that a lot of vegan an

Regularly drinking wheatgrass juice, about 1 oz in the a.m and 1 oz in the pm, really clears my system ( breath and skin) of dreaded garlic and onion breath very quickly. My body is in cleanse mode and processes things very quickly with the daily metaboic addition of the grass juice so my onion and or garlic breath passes by like any regular meal and I don't stay toxicly stinky. PEACE..Choco

You can also mix your super ripe bananas with ground up raw almonds ( made into a almond meal in your food processor) and some dates and a whole scraped a vanilla bean. Adding dried coconut flakes to the mix is an optional and tasty touch if you enjoy coconut as much as I do. Blend together till the banana mixture looks like a firm, just blended dough. Then roll dough into balls, flatten with a

Try making sprouted buckwheat "bread". It doesn't taste flax-y even if some recipes use the flax seeds to bind it together. I'd also make a dehydrated veggie burger recipe and eliminate the onions. You can also take your favorite pate recipe and dehydrate it into patties. My mother can't eat onions so I've learned how to be resourceful in preparing dishes without using any, and the reci

Where I live a lot of raw pot lucks happen at yoga centers in their off hours on weekends. Sometimes they happen at martial arts centers too. Maybe you could connect and enroll your local yoga studio to be on board with the idea. Live vegan food creates prana and life force energy..They just might be interested. Especially if there is the potential for them to create more business through raw

I love making veggie pate with beets, soaked almonds, onions, soaked raw cashews, spices, celery etc, all run through the Champion with the blank for creaminess. Author Rhio has a great recipe book and web site ( the book is called "Hooked on Raw" I think?) that includes a yumm-o beety recipe for a beet and nut-meat pate. The beets lend a sweet earthy contrast to the saltiness and heart

...just want to say 1 more thing for the men who still like to drink every now and again..Raw wine while "raw" is still booze , and definately affects the yummy "man" smells I was refering too earlier. other than my personally disliking skin/breath on alcohol, the booziness of it alters the raw effects of the man detox. i also distinctly recall coffee did the same thing to my

I know this is a "man thread", but when my ex went raw, especially when he did a detox juice fast, his skin smelled soooo much better to me and his breath was so much more appealing and tasty and kissable. He personally said he felt more alive and vibrant on raw which led to him being more passionate in our relating. PEACE. Choco

Wendy, If you pick up any reputable raw cookbook by more "old school" type raw foodists like Anne Wigmore ( mother of the raw movement) , Nomi Shannon, Jeremy Saffron, you'll usually see a food combining chart inside or a written page or two devoted to the basics of proper food combining. While someone could technically write out all the rules for you, its much better to have them on p

And I understood what you meant when you described your sister's issues realting to meat as well. I have seen s
