I have only recently got my acne under control. I'm 19 and I had terrible acne from age 12 to about 18, when I started eating much more raw food and it started to abate. But raw food alone didn't do it. Over the past 3 months I've done several particular things which have helped my skin tremenedously: 1. taking a quality probiotic consistently. I take Jorrow formulas, which is supposed

By the way, do you eat any salt? You might want to eat some Celtic sea salt. It's good for the cells, in terms of regulating moisture balance.

An alternative to soap is to soak produce in diluted apple cider vinegar or white vinegar for 15 minutes, and then rinse it well. THe vinegar kills microbes and any eggs or parasites on the produce will be stunned by the acids and let go, allowing them to easily rinse off.

After eating so well for so long, I figured I'd make a treat. So I bought one of those frozen organic whole grain spelt pizza crusts from the store and made a nice garlic onion tomatoe sauce for it, and after it was cooked I grated raw goat cheese on top (I did it after so the cheese wouldn't cook). Man, did I feel awful, and so did my whole family. We haven't felt like napping after a feel

It's cooked, and shouldn't be eaten from the package without cooking it again first.

Bryan, that doesn't help because those tables are citing Wonder Bread (which is extremely refined and denatured), modern white potato, pasta (white refined flour), and rice (presumably white rice). Obviously if you compare fruit to a grossly refined product like white Wonder Bread, the fruit will come out on top nutritionally. All of those are heavily refined and/or tampered with (modern whit

The "alteration" comes from selective growing over the centuries to produce sweeter fruit varieties. One step is to try to get only heirloom fruit varieties from Farmer's Markets

It could be too much sugar and/or not enough essential fatty acids (omega-3, etc). That'll make the skin saggy and/or puffy. This is a real basic question, but what do you wash your hands with?

As long as you don't eat too much, nutritional yeast can be a good food. 1 tablespoon or so a day is alright.

There's nothing wrong with making a portion of your diet cooked food, and there's nothing wrong with eating raw dairy foods, especially if you just want to transition to a healthier diet. Don't listen to dogmatists, listen to your body (the intuition, not the cravings).

Hmm, it's probably the sugar. I feel weak and gross eating too much fruit. When the body isn't getting enough protein, and too much sugar, the metabolism weakens, and coldness insues. Protein metabolism is one of the main sources of heat for the body. (Part of the reason that heavy meat eaters can get hot, sweaty and smelly -- the key is to find a balance, obviously. Different protein food

Eating too much sugar, whether it's from fruit or anything else, will make you cold and weak eventually, unless your genetically tuned to it and exercise a lot. How often do you exercise?
