I've done the cleanse three times now (10 days, 14 days and then 21 days over the course of a couple of years). It's always a very trying, yet extremely rewarding experience. I recommend reading some of the info available on curezone.com as well as reading The Master Cleanser by Stanley Buroughs - not sure on the spelling there. Someone might be angry with me for saying this, but he seems to b

Thanks for the ideas! I had some green juice for breakfast and a huge salad with carrot GINGER dressing for dinner and am feeling good. -- Innervegetable, the book is called RAW (by Juliano). I don't know too much about him, but I can tell you that his recipes are incredible. Yes, they have a million ingredients and can take a while to prepare, but it is absolutely worth it. Best to all.

So yesterday I was enjoying all of my new raw concoctions SO much that I ended up eating A TON. (I found a cookbook that is changing my life! Yum!) Buuut...this morning I feel awfully heavy and slow and wanted to get things moving and help my body process this. Do anyone have any recommendations of something light to eat/drink to balance things out again?

Unfortunately, I don't have a dehydrator, but am interested in trying out a couple of recipes that require one. If I keep my oven on "warm" and open it occasionally, do you think that will work? Does anybody typically use an oven to dehydrate? Thanks for any tips you might have.

I agree - conventional will definitely suffice. Just make sure you're using cayenne, lemons, and grade B or C maple syrup! The lemons and syrup are your meager supply of vitamins and minerals while on the cleanse. Good luck! It's a great experience.

Have you tried sprouting legumes? Lentils, chickpeas, whatever...just for some additional protein. I completely understand your concerns - as a very active person I often find that my body craves protein - but protein is present in many different forms. Good luck on your search.

8. oats
I just purchased "steel cut oat groats" in the bulk section of my health food store today. The suggested cooking intructions (obviously I won't be following them) say to cook for 30-45 minutes, so I'm assuming they're raw...if I grind them in a coffee grinder and soak for a bit will I be good to go for breakfast?? Thanks!

Hi all, I'm doing my research into Raw Foods - I'm just finishing up a cleanse and really want to try to maintain a mostly raw diet. There's a ton of information on this website regarding "beginners," so I don't really have any questions as far as that goes but... What do you put on all of these salads? Do you have any favorite recipes for dressings? Also, I am a very activ
