beets add a great earthiness to juice. you may want to start small to see how your body reacts to the juice. and don't be afraid to use the tops...delicious.. one more thing don't be worried if you noticed red coloring in your poo because it happens when you consume beets. i'm sure more peeps will chime in on this one. i use the whole beet, skin and all. good luck

i despise shoes. they are off the instant i get off work. i only own 2 pairs of shoes- tennis shoes for work flip flops for play...i wear them all year. living in florida allows thast opportunity. i barefoot aorund the house, doing yardwork, beach ,etc. nice threaD. Brooke

yes i've read it. very comprehensive info. all vegan but not 100% raw. although many of the recipes he gives you the way to make it raw. i love it and have made many of the recipes which have been delicious. if you can find it in your local library definitely check it out. i bought it on a whim and glad i did. great info for athletes(brendan is a hard core runner/triathlete) hope this helps,b

my man and i will spend about 150-200 a week. like gypsy said we don't compromise on organics. i am fortunate enough to be able to afford this. i look at like this, i'd rather pay for the grocercies than pay for the doctor. i imagine that once we have fully transitioned that our bill will drop but for now that's the way it is. good day to all, brooke

i love fresh juice(orange especially, I just bought a case of hamlin oranges), it seems to be light on my belly and allows great BM's in the morning. i like light in the morning and heavier in the afternoons. just my opinion. brooke

i work at a restaurant and we have a blendtec that is awesome. i'm not sure of the brand but it blends quite well...i daily blend at least one banana, one apple, one pear, and one other fruit(kiwi, pineapple,etc,).. has anyone else heard of blendtec... probably 1/2 the price....

check brendan frazier's "thrive" series. he is a serious athlete(iron man, 50km runner, etc). he gives great information in his book about diet and exercise. although he is not completely raw he is a long time vegan. check it out. hope this helps. b.

i would be very cautious due to salmonella. if you think any chicken could have infiltrated your strawberries i would just throw them out. you can also ask your roomie to defrost in a pan or glass dish so there is no fear of cross contamination. b.
