Hello All Just interested in your experience in dealing with Frederic - I have just ordered Raw Secrets from him (haven't received it yet) but I was keen to know others opinions on his contribution to the world of raw. Has he helped you, do you know him, is he well respected in this field, are his books/information proving useful and relevant to you - those sorts of things. Always keen to hear

Absolutely Khale I think we would all benefit - especially those of us who have had constant candida - from looking at these two (fat and sugar) and their combination causing disagreement within our system. I bought the book (80/101/10) - which I thought was excellent - although must say that the recipes section left me decidedly bored..and not inspired to eat in this way..however I have take

Good question..as I love the avocado myself!!!! I up my banana intake, in a big way In fact, if I am eating a salad for dinner, I will either eat banana first or mix banana in with it. I have found no candida symptoms even if I was to eat say 1/8th of an avocado with each salad. As I am at the beginning of this whole experience, I find that I really want some avocado each day. What worked fo

Hi LTF Just had to reply to this email. Here is what happened to me just over a month ago. High raw eater, switched to fully raw (including eating little bit more fruit, but adding in flax crackers, avocado and other overt fats) - immediate candida sensations....really really really bad - worse than I have ever had. And I KNOW candida symptoms as I have experienced them my whole life (at

HEy there Yes I am near Brisbane also...however I am early on in my path. Have been dabbling for the last two years..believing that this is the key to many issues. I have several friends who are completely raw - so I do know a few peoples, however they are down the Gold Coast....so I don't see them as often as I would like. I think that this board is not really flush with Aussies - they just

Hi Teresa Yogamama is on the money, I believe. I would offer the following to help you: My children are embracing an increase in raw, simply because I am not pushing it, or cutting things out of their diet obviously. What i do is make something raw first (say a smoothie or a juice in the morning) and say to them: Who wants a groovy smoothie, it's got mango in it.. or something along tho

HI All Although I think you may FEEL different, I think everyone FEELS that they are different....we all feel that we are special, that we are kind, that we care for others and for animals etc etc. This board is only a microcosm of what exists out there in society. I think that the changes are occurring within - and your experiences make you believe that you are in fact "different&quo

Uma I completely agree - you have succinctly stated what I feel. I had to go into the city the other day, and apart from the fact that my son and I kept repeating how lucky we are etc, we couldn't believe the toxicity of the place. I feel as though I can't breathe when I am in the city - in fact just about a year ago, I took a job in the city. ON my first morning I declared that i had mad

God love Steve Irwin....he is a champ, God rest his beautiful soul... No crocs are not everywhere..they are concentrated in the northern areas of Queensland and on Steve Irwin's Croc Zoo. People get taken by them when they are completely stupid..ie: swimming, canoeing splashing in water (right next to huge enormous signs that say "Saltwater Crocs/Freshwater Crocs inhabit this water"

That is right, singinraw. I imagine that there musn't be too many Aussies lurking here, or else they would have jumped right in with this question!! Australia (in particular Queensland) has the most fabulous beaches. Some completely uninhabited...you could stip off and walk for days and see NO one!!! At the top of Queensland is very tropical - and yes, the air is clean (except when you go int

Hello All, I just started talking in another post about Tropical Fruit World, here near Byron Bay in Queensland, Australia - and realised that it deserves a posting all by itself. Perhaps we can all contribute what we know and have some fantastic spots to visit when we travel to different countries. TFW is an amazing place to visit - if we lived closer, I would bug them for a job..it is so fan

I just have to put my hand up for Australia here!!! In my part of the world, the big areas for raw food are in Byron Bay (funky, alternative, peace loving, therapeutic and anything goes) whilst having some of the most amazing volcanic soil suitable to grow almost anything in...and the Gold Coast - where among the tourists, beaches, tacky shop fronts and towering buildings, you have a very health

I actually had a similar experience yesterday Taylor..I had some onion bread (style of flax cracker) and in between two slices I sandwiched avocado, thick slices of tomato and a cheddery cheeze (made from pine nuts) and it was the most sensational thing I felt I had eaten in ages. Perhaps because we are relatively new to the experiences of raw, we are rediscovering the pleasures of the simple ta

Hi, Yes David I completely understand and agree that a garden, person etc is able to flourish in any environment - and it is all a matter of perspective and outlook on the situation. The reason I posted was because when i started to alter my diet, my interest in nature increased 100-fold, and i became immediately drawn to follow a path whereby i could create my own food. I would imagine that h

Hello All People on this site regularly talk about great places to live to become a raw foodie. I have certainly heard the call of the mountains - whilst not being too far away from town - and we have moved to the country, for..amongst many reasons...the ability to grown our own food. We certainly haven't dropped any creature comforts - in fact the complete opposite - but we have moved onto pr

Hi All And, thanks for letting me know I wasn't going crazy. I would have presumed that the blockage would be related to sinus - there are so many interconnecting areas relating to the ears - that I was assuming that there was excess mucous etc being released..(nice hey)which was somehow constricting flow etc. Prism I am so sorry to hear that you have slipped - I used to hang around these

Hello Thankfully this is ONE thing that I am not yet afflicted with..however a friend of mine is starting to get varicose veins - and I can't seem to find too much info on whether going raw will alter past damage with regards to these unsightly things. She doesn't have any pain - this is a purely aesthetic question. She also suffers with spider veins (red surface ones) - does anyone have anyth

Hey All Have just started to really get into the raw way of living, and woke up one morning with one ear completely blocked. I have never experienced ear problems previously - have never had any problems with them at all. I have since used ear candles, massage, etc etc - with little effect....just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Been blocked for three days now - and I am NOT go

Hey all Hoping for some inspiration, as the potato chip recipes I have made do not seem to taste right or have the right texture to resemble a good ole potato chip/vege chip. Happy to try any vege to make them, but my chips always turn out chewy - worried that I might pull out a filling with them!! Is there some trick to making them...please let me know... Thanks

Hi all, I have been reading the Lifeforce Plan by Jeffrey McCombs which is meant to eliminate candida from the body. As the most part of the plan centres on raw food (if you ignore his protein slant about adding meat in to supplement), I thought perhaps some of you have tried it. The supplements -which you can only get from him - seem quite expensive, however, nothing is expensive if it does w
